New thread. Welcome oldies and newbies.

I'm expecting this thread to be busy as we head towards both advents and autumn releases.

There's a dedicated advent thread for advent calendars here to keep up to date with reveals, waitlists etc.

On a separate but unrelated note, Vinted has been letting through all my perfume samples, even when they’ve gone to review, which is very odd indeed! I’ve either gotten lucky or they’ve relaxed their policy.

Thelifeofawife · 03/08/2026 18:51

@user593 I really like the Tatcha Indigo overnight repair, it’s really thick so you only need a bit (which is good as I only got a small pot). Other than that I’ve used the brightening eye cream which I love and is so far my favourite eye cream, and have repurchased a couple of times.
I tried the vitamin C serum (I think it was in SNK BAC last year) but I wasn’t particularly impressed - I prefer the Medik8 C-tetra and the Dermalogica biolumin-c serum.

They haven't relaxed the policy it's just very random. I had 2 large (11ml) mfk travel sizes that got botted - they were in a multipack so no separate box which the regime don't like..

So having a separate box seems to be a factor.

Annoyingly I'd just paid £3 for bumps...

I also love the Tatcha indigo night repair. It’s been great for my skin, I’ve run out and I’m missing it. I don’t mind the dewy cream but not keen on the smell. I bought some vit c serum off Vinted which I’m using at the moment, I don’t mind it but won’t rp. Indigo is definitely the hero product for me so far.

All Beauty has the 50ml Tatcha Indigo Overnight Repair Cream for £66 and NEW10 appears to take it down to £59.40. I’m very tempted now!

I'm never impressed with the single brand CB edits, they're never great value and end up hanging around the website for months.

Agree They mostly aren't as good. I have the DM Blurring Balm in a full size. I've never been able to make it work, it always looks like cakey cement on me. Maybe I'm the wrong skin type. An expensive mistake.

I used the danessa myricks eyeliner and it kept blobbing, very frustrating when you've finished your eyeshadow, go to do a wing and it goes all over. I've gone back to my rimmel one.

CinderellaParker · 03/08/2026 23:04

I've been using retinol serums for a bit and want to move on to tretinoin. Dermatica and a Skin and Me seem to be popular. Can anyone recommend one or other of them? And does anyone have a link?

Thanks x

(long time poster, new username because I fancied a change!)

Hicupping · 03/08/2026 23:06

THat's a meh from me, neither of those shadow colours work for me and they're so different if you're hoping for one or the other. Liquid eyeliner isn't something either. £64 be interested to see the reviews.

I use Dermatica and would recommend (although I haven’t used Skin&Me).

It’s a very straightforward process to sign up, and very flexible - the default delivery is every month but it’s easy to change delivery dates if you are not ready for another bottle or want to skip a month for any reason.

Here’s my link:
Try personalised skincare for just £2.90, plus £10 off your next month.

Head to www.dermatica.co.uk and checkout with code VY3WRV

@JoRaRaRaNow that we can all breath after the Harrods advent excitement/anxiety, can I check if your Dior countdowns are showing two different countdowns.
The clover range is showing 2days and 16hours and the cushion compacts 1day and 16 hours

Oh that's good of them, give us 2 sleepless nights 🤣 Actually, I'll probably only stay up for the cushion compacts. I can no longer find the countdown for the cushion compacts though 😕

Agree, it's the packaging.

I had 4 samples all in their card covers and one loose. After 3 days - and having already had a review - it was removed because it might not be new.

I had mine removed which was a 7.5ml bottle and a 2ml (no box, but loads of others on Vinted selling just the 2ml) - mine was removed. I disputed it, highlighting the amount of 1.5-2ml’s listed by others, and they came back and basically said tough luck

Hicupping · 04/08/2026 09:33

Tough luck is very much Vinted Customer service motto.

£10 tues, some decent discounts this week

user593 · 04/08/2026 11:16

I think the £10 Tuesdays have been getting slowly worse. Much less premium beauty included nowadays than I recall when it started! Always lots of Lumene though.

I got the Prai offer from M&S, being delivered to home even though I’m away at the moment, so it will be a bit of delayed gratification!

I buy it directly from an online pharmacy it’s about £24.99 a tube which lasts for months. I’m guessing uts not technically based in the UK as Tret in UK is prescription only. I also joined a facebook group which explains step by step how to use it and also has lots of advice and support. Called Tretinoin and retinoids users: tips, products and routine help. Not sure If I am allowed to link websites but if you google pharmousonline it should come up. I have been using it for 18months now and have had good success though it is strong stuff so you do have to follow the advice to get the best results. Sadly lots of European countries have stopped selling it over the counter so now you will need to go further afield like the US or India to buy over counter.
