As the title suggests What are people wearing to work during this heatwave?

Next linen shift, croc sandals.
Now a thin long nightdress after a cool shower.
Tomorrow will be a floaty maxi kaftan; I’m not going anywhere and I don’t care if I resemble a tent 😁

It's difficult because the air con is so cold and right above my desk, yesterday I wore a fleece! <please don't kill me> it's genuinely freezing so can't wear any nice floaty summer clothes 😫

I’m working from home tomorrow so will start with leggings and a vest (gym) then I’m going to put on an outfit normally reserved for visiting MIL in Provence where her garden gets hotter than Hades. It’s an ancient black dobby cotton midi dress from Hush with flip flops and no knickers or bra. Works a treat!

I'm a soft landscaper working out in this heat for eight hours so I have very lightweight Bermuda shorts from Matalan and my company Artex shirt which I wear with the collar up to protect the back of my neck. I also wear a Canadian Tilley canvas wide brimmed hat which is amazing at keeping the heat off your whole face and stops sweat running into my eyes. I have to wear steel toe caps so I wear bamboo socks to stop my feet overheating. I also freeze a 2 litre bottle of water so I have cool water available on site. I use P20 SPF50+ on exposed skin and sunblock on my lips.

Its shit. I went to buy everyone ice-cream at lunch.

I’m still wearing tights but switched from 60 denier to 30 denier today, and I'm in the UK (but not the south!). Hope everyone is ok in this heat!

Not as hot in Scotland as it is down south but still hot where I am (Glasgow). I wore pale mid calf trousers and a white loose fitting cotton top with Skechers sandals but I can be fairly casual at work.

Full length high vis coat and hat it's a compulsory uniform, I melt into a puddle before I go home.

Skirt and vest top then when I get to work I add tights, a jumper and a cardigan as it’s about 16c inside

The company i work for are pretty chilled about what we wear in the office, the only rules are no gym wear and smart when meeting in person with clients.

I got out of the shower this morning and could see the benefits of adopting nudism! Putting clothes on was awful!

I’m no longer working, but if I was and going into the office, I would be wearing a thin cotton midi length dress and sandals with my hair clipped off my neck.

WFH I’d dress as I am at the moment, shorts, vest top, no bra.

So pleased I no longer have to go to some of our south facing, non-aircon venues with completely useless fans!

A word about linen, I tend to find a lot of my linen clothes are fairly thick, a lot thicker than cotton. Do other people find this?

I am wearing: Bermuda shorts and a cotton short-sleeved shirt with sandals
Shorts & t-shirt (tailored shorts with a belt so they are smart), plus sandals
Long maxi dress with sleeves (i can't show my shoulders or wear thin straps), plus either plimsolls or sandals

Stick to breathable fabrics like linen, cotton. Make sure whatever you wear isn't too tight or figure-hugging.

My office is super casual plus we have air con on and drive to the office so I don't even know what the weather is like outside today, I've been here since 7ish am. I'm literally in jeans and hoodie because the air con is blasting.

Floaty dress and sandals. Office standards have slipped considerably this week.

I plan to wear tomorrow a light coloured midi dress and closed toe sandals. The dress has long sleeves but very light. I have very pale skin so want to cover up and avoid burning as I have a bit of a walk too and from work.
