Please help me find a really easy to use hot brush for find straight hair

DS (late teens) has shoulder length fine hair. He loves the look of his hair when he comes back from the hairdresser, but not when it has been washed and air dried at home because it’s less straight and glossy.

He is dyspraxic so struggles with coordinating hairdryer and brush, so I thought maybe a hot brush like the Tymo Ionic Plus or Ring Plus. He’s looking for smooth straight natural looking hair (ie not poker-straight), but not curls.

Any ideas or recommendations please?

With the hot brush. I like that he couldn’t burn himself on them like a hair straightener, and that it’s more like just using a brush or comb.

Im guessing that with the Ionic Plus being more like a brush that it’s probably for thicker hair, and with the Ring Plus being more like a comb that it’s probably for finer hair?

if dyspraxic means coordinating brush and dryer then I suspect many people suffer from this or regular in-synch motor skills, in which case whatever devices are recommended or used, the effect will be the same

why is a man in his late teens relying on his mummy to find him a suitable hairdryer

My 16 year old child is “relying on his mummy” because he’s asked for it, from me, as a birthday present. Doing the research is part of gift giving, otherwise I might as well just hand over the cash.

I have the Revlon one too. It’s good, but, since I am utterly crap at doing my own hair, not as good as the hairdresser! I do like it though and it’s easy to use.

I’m pleasantly impressed by DD’s tymo one. It’s really easy - she has very long and thick hair and struggles with straighteners.

How sad you don’t have the kind of relationship with your dc where they ask for your advice… I can’t imagine why they wouldn’t 🤔

Would this work for chin length hair? Had my eye on one for a while but I think my hairs too short

I dry my hair 90% of the way and then use the Revlon. It leaves it so swishy.

I found I was much more prone to hair breakage when using the Babyliss Big Hair with the rotating head.

This is superb. I have very fine mid length hair. I love this , whilst big, it is more a flat paddle brush not rounded like all the others I’ve seen. Much easier for me to use and for my hair type.

I usually diffuse my hair into curliness. Howeve, if I want a change, I use a BabyLiss Big Hair. Very easy to use on half dry hair.

I am going to get the Revlon one for him. I can see him getting himself tangled up in the rotating brush of the Babyliss one 😄

I’m also going to get a Tymo one for me (I have thick hair) and he can try it if he wants to.

It’s difficult to get tangled in the baby loss because you can reverse the direction and unwind the tangle!
bear it in mind as it is excellent
