stretchy black work trousers for hot weather

Hi! Big work event next week which I am organising and it will be 27th degrees! I have got nice black work trousers but more suitable for winter. Need to be round size 20 and have good stretch. I hope so. I am short and stubby though, so things look different than on a model!

@atriskacademic I have the attached cotton rich trousers with stretch from M& S. I don’t think you can really get fully “pull you in” trousers in a summer weight fabric. These are well cut and do a good job without being heavy. Wear firm undies!

Strechy and black is always going to be warm though!

These are my smart black summer work trousers. Don’t laugh that they are Lucy & Yak. They are easy to dress up. The waist is quite high, easily covered by a smart top. Very cool a comfortable. Loose rather than stretchy. I wear them rolled down with loafers.

I’m a 50 something size 16.

I just bought these and they are lovely! Very flattering, nice flat waistband and not too wide legged. They’re not exactly summer weight but I wore them in the heatwave the other day and they were very comfortable
