Do comfy bras exist?

I’m on the lookout for a comfy bra. I’m fed up with the underwire cutting into me especially in this warm weather. Has anyone tried gel bras? Are they any good? Or does anyone else have any recommendations? Ideally I’d want something that has a clasp at the back. Thank you.

I’ve never found a comfortable bra that doesn’t give me mono-boob, but I prefer that look to the “tennis ball under each armpit” look which some wireless bra’s (e.g. Royce) give. I’m a 36H. Bravissimo do a supportive, comfy, own-brand monoboob one, but even that rubs eventually after enough hours. Nice to put on when I come home though.

I like the Uniqlo wireless bras. They are smooth under fitted clothing and very comfortable and durable. I have a nude and two black ones and I wear them a lot. I am quite small in that area though so can’t speak to how they would be for the larger chested.

I love the M&S seamless crop tops. I am a 32DD and the medium fits me perfectly. I don’t need support though, they might not be suitable if that’s an issue.

I’ve always worn wired bras, but I had a mastectomy a few months ago and I’ve not been able to find a wired bra with pocket for a full prosthesis.

I have several non wired pocketed bras, but I don’t feel they give my remaining boob much definition, especially seeing as I have lost weight. Boobs suffer the effects of gravity after breastfeeding and weight gains and losses, but my prosthesis doesn’t and I can end up lopsided during the day 🤣 But I would still like bras to be ‘pretty’.

I bought these (pic attached hopefully) Curlady bras from ticktok. Only £12 each, non wired and very comfy. I promise I am not connected to them in any way

I have tried loads of different bras and find all of them uncomfortable.
I went to a specialist bra shop last week and tried on at least 10. I think I'm just a weird shape!

Allonthesametrain · 30/05/2026 17:31

I only ever wear the seamless sports types bras now, so much more comfortable.

DollyMixture89 · 30/05/2026 18:08

I've recently purchased sunny-bee bras, see pic. They are very comfortable.

I am 34GG and recently purchased the non wired Miss Mandalay bra from Bravissimo prior to going into hospital for a total knee replacement. It’s been so comfortable and I find it fine under clothes as a good alternative to my wired bras from Fantasie.

I love the Conturve bras, and I like M&S racer back sports bras for exercise.
I had to size up with the more shaped/plunge style Conturves which look great under dresses. I was near the border between 2 sizes and the smaller size buldged at the side, but the sports bra style fitted perfectly in the recommended size and are perfect for under work polo shirts ect. Both styles have good lift for DDs although not quite as firm as wired, but the comfort is more than worth that.

I wear any bra just elasticated enough as not to fall down. I don't like them digging in my skin. There is nothing more I can do at my age for my looks so I don't care what it looks like. All I care is having something on - i am naturally gorgeous though and my ones are big but strangely well rounded

I was scrolling this thread looking to see if anyone recommemded these. I keep seeing the ads and am tempted.

I got some non-wired bras from lemonade dolls recently and they’re incredible. Super comfy and my boobs look great…in my opinion at least!

ItsGregg · 03/06/2026 20:01

I got a cheap jelly bra on tiktok, best bra I’ve ever had in my life!

Swallowdoubleandrunamile · 03/06/2026 22:09

I second the sunnybee bras. I'm a 42C, all back, hardly any boob.
The most comfortable bra I've ever worn. Gives me a great shape and lift.

I would like a bra in 30 f or 30 ff that supports and is unwired. Can anyone help?

LittleEsme · 03/06/2026 22:36

I wear a M&S bralette which is super comfy and only £12! I’m only a B cup though.

Bertiebiscuit · 04/06/2026 11:57

No they don't. Like high heels, thongs and fake fingernails they are about look not comfort - because how women look is the only criteria for how we are judged. Anything "comfortable" is labelled 'frumpy' or 'old lady' or 'granny'

I don’t think this is “frumpy”
looks nice and is so comfortable I can sleep in it (I have this in 2 other colours and bought a third)
it’s finding the right brand, shape, style and size and that unfortunately is annoying and trial and error

Is that wired? No way could I ever sleep in a wired bra

Yep. I mean I wouldn’t choose to but have I fallen asleep in it accidentally and been comfortable enough? Yes

JustGotToKeepOnKeepingOn · 04/06/2026 19:30

I’ve never been able to find a wireless bra that offers any kind of support or comfort. I need a small band and large cup size which is difficult to find whether it’s wired or not! I tried all the wireless bras they had at Bravissimo and even the woman who was serving me agreed that they looked awful. I’d love to meet up with a bra designer and solve the problem!

Yeah, the older I get, the more I hate wires, but having tried a lot of wireless bras, I can 100% see why the wired bra was invented. It’s so difficult to get support and good shape without a wire, dare I even say, impossible
