I need sandals but I'm starting to fall into the 'oh they are nice and would go with...'

Oh and I have
flip flops
everyday sandals
walking sandals
party dress sandals
old black strappy sandals
—one of each

About 15 pairs, some are quite old, 5 of them are walking type sandals as I walk a lot so can't wear fashion sandals for that. 4 pairs of saltwater bought over the years in different style/colours, various others bought over the years for different occasions. I mainly store them in an Ikea hanging thing with pockets in.

TeenToTwenties · 27/05/2026 05:53

3 pairs of Ecco sandals.
My 'current' pair.
An older pair just in case,
and a new pair bought when on sale.

All same make/design, just different colours.

I am embarrassed to count them. I love salt water sandals as you can wear them in the sea so brilliant for managing toddlers on a stony beach, have them in loads of different colours, also really comfortable to walk in.

4 pairs. A pair of Columbia ones, a white pair I can wear with dresses, shorts, cut offs or jeans. A pair I picked up in Salou a couple of years ago. Massively regret not buying a second pair in a different colour but I was poorly with a virus and couldn’t face walking around the shops and then the final pair are walking ones which I also bought whilst in Salou around 10 years ago. My Columbia ones are at least 27 years old and still in good condition. Although they get packed away and only come out for holidays or a few weeks in the summer

I have 6 pairs:
Sketchers holiday walking sandals
Fitflop pool/garden slides
Hermes Chypre in black and a light pink for work or weekends
Esska party sandals
White espadrille sandals
Could do with maybe a nicer sandal for trekking around cities but for the once or twice a year I manage with what I have or trainers.

None, which I realised yesterday when I had to go to a posh lunch. I didn5 go

DiscoBeat · 30/05/2026 09:03

5 - two Birkenstocks, one leather fisherman style and two dressy type ones.

lljkk · 30/05/2026 09:39

Added up to 8-10 ? All flat.
My faves are Shimano cycling SPDs, about 15 yrs old & battered but still functional. I won't say more, that gives you an idea of how unstylish all my footwear is, lol.

MiniCoopers · 30/05/2026 09:42

I’ve got 6 or 7, they’re all salt waters but different colours.

Swissrailways · 30/05/2026 09:45

Oh god, loads. In my defence I dont have any proper shoes and some of these are years old.
2 pairs of fisherman style sandals
2 pairs of Birkenstocks, at least 7 or 8 years old
Tan leather wedges
Silver strappy flats, ancient, and mainly worn on holiday
Brown leather flats, could do with chucking out
Bright red/orange flats, love 'em.

lCircleYou · 30/05/2026 09:57

17 pairs, some are the same style but in a different colour. I’ve just got rid of a load of older ones I knew I wouldn’t wear again.

ThreeStripeQueen · 30/05/2026 10:10

I’ve got five pairs but only really wear two.
Sezane mules, gorgeous but rub and hurt my heels on long walks,
Doc Martens, also rub and are uncomfortable to walk in,
Fit Flop wedges, comfortable but are too dressy for everyday wear,
Fit Flop mules, last year walked miles in them but this year they’ve rubbed me a couple of times,
Adidas sliders, I only wear these in the house as slippers in summer.
I much prefer trainers. I don’t like the dusty, sweaty feet you get with sandals and need to wear insoles so feel more comfortable in trainers.

thornbury · 30/05/2026 22:04

3x real Birkenstocks, 1 dupe, 2 pairs skechers for walking, plus about 6 others. I live in a hot place and wear sandals daily, except for at work.

lydialucy · 30/05/2026 22:08

One dressy flats.
could do with second pair but my budget tells me otherwise

Perrygreen · 30/05/2026 22:12

One pair of birkenstocks that I no longer wear from one year to the next. I think they're thick with dust under the shoe rack.

I walk a lot so wear trainers all the time. I'm not hauling shopping home in sandals.
