Summer shoes or sandals for a teenager?

What’s ‘cool’ at the minute for teenage girls (yr 9).

I’ve seen some teens in Birkenstocks - with very short shorts!

My 15 year old grandaughter had Birkenstock dupes from Primark on today in white with a white little summer dress. She’s got pale pink crocs, Adidas trainers and flip flops too.

My year 12 has been wearing Tevas about year 9 and I’m just about to get some for my current year 9!

@Trainup Did you see the response the op gave me when I dared to suggest looking at what friends are wearing! Don’t make a sensible suggestion!

Crocs or the foam sliders from primark are pretty trendy and also comfy and cheap

I remember back in the 80s there was a fad for teens and young 20 somethings to wear proper old fashioned granny sandals, usually in white or cream.

I have teenage boys and their female friends are all wearing crocs, New Balance Dad style trainers and Birkenstock Bostons (the dupes from Primark etc). My two boys live in Crocs in the summer.

Oh and they wear them with those little ankle socks!

Now I’ve googled the Boston’s I’ve seen those a lot and yes to the socks!!

May see if I can get dd to wear those instead of the Uggs 🙄

although they’re not very sandally so if OPs daughter wants sandals I think the teva are the one I’ve see a friend of dd wearing.

Converse do some nice sandals

My 15 year old was horrified when I suggested getting her some sandals as apparently no-one except old people shows their toes. She’s still wearing trainers with everything.
