I’ve just had an email from Harrods saying the gift is available, and it added to my bag when I did a test basket.

so might be worth a try now.

Mine is adding to basket but will not complete checkout without me removing it. I think if you press checkout you will possibly get the same error message.

@AprilLady just looking at the T&Cs - does the one item of skincare just apply to H Beauty Stores? I shall ask when I get there.

It most probably is a technical glitch. Very annoying for those of you wanting it! - I hope they sort it out soon.

Sorry to hear of the Harrods troubles, though I wish I could say I was surprised! Surely you’d feel cheated now if you could buy from Harrods without some drama 😂.

I wonder if they do all these fuck ups deliberately to create a sense of achievement when you ever actually manage to buy something 😂Having faffed most of yesterday with my Harrods basket I'm still spending far too much time thinking about GWP's - I'd ruled out John Lewis and the Space NK one but am still dithering over the Harrods one ( presuming they work out the shipping issues and it becomes available!) I have a basket prepped and ready to go, but feel like my main motivation is fomo 😅 I had a browse of Liberty and SNK on wednesday to try a few things I'd been eyeing up to potentially make up the spend - tested the Westman Atelier hydrobalm colours I was interested in (Bob and Brique) but felt I have enough similar products already - may go back for Bob at some point. Also tried an hourglass blush I haven't got yet - mood exposure - I love this shade much, had seen it mentioned here and it's gorgeous, very flattering and I don't have any even vaguely similar shades so that's a yes. My other basket items are the Fresh Kombucha essence, the chantecaille rose tint and their eyebrow pencil. I don't need to buy the rose tint now though, I have an unopened one in my stash still, so scraping the bottle of the barrel a bit there.
For anyone shopping in the wild today, the Liberty GWP looked quite a bit better IRL, although still not that exciting to Beauty Drop members due to the repeats.

If anyone goes to Harrods and can report back on if this fabled GWP actually exists then I'd love to know! I've never had any problems with Harrods before, didn't realise it was a thing ...

theres actually some nice products in there that I really like. However, I really have far too much already that I might need to pass on this one.

I worry about ordering from Harrods not getting the gift and then them not accepting returns. I seem to remember jumping through hoops to return beauty items before. HN is just as bad

Oh my goodness, I think I prefer this to the Harrods one, plus they sell everything I was planning to buy and as I haven't bought from them before I can get 15% off 😳

I think I'm in need of a spreadsheet to keep track of all these GWPs and decide what to buy... it's like advent calendar season!

Does anyone know if HN does a birthday treat for reward members. I’m sure I got something last year but they have changed their rewards since and I can’t seem to find anything about it. If they were to send me a birthday treat I might be tempted. 😬

The Harrods GWP really isn’t doing it for me but the HN one sounds more interesting!

The Harrods bag is technically much better value than HN, which is all small sizes, and the bag is much nicer. But it's actually the volume of products that bothers me about the Harrods one - at least half of it I actively don't want, and I don't do selling things on so it's just going to take up space until I eventually use it up or get rid of it. That's also why I've ended up discounting the JL one, and probably the SNK one. The HN one would be less wasteful, because it's all things I will use.

I'm also thinking that the couple of things I like the look of in the Harrods GWP (Tatcha rice wash, evidens mask) will probably crop up cheaply on Vinted once everyone starts selling on. If anyone really rates anything they get please share on here, so I can look out for it 😄

The 15% off for new customers doesn't work with the HN GWP unfortunately, so I won't actually save any money if I go for it (especially as I have £250 worth of stuff ready to buy), but at least I'll have fewer things to hide around the house 😆

What has everyone ordered from Harrods to get the gwp? I'm now doubting my choices 🙈🤣 I still haven't put through my Dior order either. I was still awake at 11:55pm, fully expecting to order but seems I must've fallen asleep just before 🤣 I also thought I'd probably order the Harrods gwp as soon as it went live but this morning has been hectic. The HN gwp is nice but it's all stuff that I've tried before. The lower spend is tempting though 🙂

I’m happy to share mine, Chanel les beiges touch foundation, Victoria Beckham eyeliner, Dior Maximiser and then some Tatcha mini’s to make up the spend requirement, my order was exactly £250

I also ordered the new Dior Glassy Glow Stick from Dior, no surprise I am platinum and have met the spend requirement for renewal hence adding other Dior to my Harrods order

@JoRaRaRa I went for a couple of things that were in the sale. Eve lo cleanser and serum set (like the cleanser never tried the serum I think it was half price) and skin cycles winter gift set (like the face masks and eye masks but never tried anything else I think it was 33% off) both came to just over £250.
