Need a pair of low heeled gold sandals for an event in a couple of months.

I HATE anything other than trainers really. Plus I have a beautiful bunion on one foot that really adds to the joy …

Looking for super cushioned flexible block heeled sandals. Any thoughts lovely S&B crew?

Anyone tried the Air + Grace Dancing Queen sandal? this is the kind of look …

Budget is sub £200.

These ones from Jones the Bootmaker. They come in regular and wide and I've found them really comfortable. Ginette2 Heeled Leather Sandals - GINETTE2 / 325 061 - Gold - GINETTE2 / 325 061 - Gold https://share.google/0tr1LZlJUc4K2Gnew

I like these too but I feel like the straps would not be bunion friendly.

Sorry, no useful suggestions, OP, but your thread title instantly made me go into mourning (again!) for my most beloved evening shoes - a pair of pale gold Dune strappy sandals I bought in the early 00s.

They were my Holy Grail shoes - really beautiful and quite high, and looked like they should be torture, but they were somehow cushioned in a way that made them so light and comfortable you could dance all night in them. I wore them to everything for years.

Then I got a puppy, and he savaged one shoe (just the one) of about three pairs, including those. I was so gutted I kept the lone left sandal for ages in hopes of finding a match, which I never did, and still I think about those shoes today 😢 (puppy was 100% worth it though!). Good luck finding yours!

Awwww I hear you on the lost icon shoe (and the chewy puppy!!!). How gutting. A gold sandal can be such a versatile handy thing - never mind if super comfy. 😩

So far I think they’re worth the money but I’ve only had them for a few weeks. I love them though and it means a lot to me that they were comfortable from the beginning.

Thank you so much.

I have recently worked my way through 2 very expensive mistakes of gold sandals! First pair was a non returnable 'bargain' (not!) from the Russell and Bromley closing sale. I was giving up and was going to wear the second uncomfortable pair (a wide fit gold sandal from Dune/John L These: https://www.johnlewis.com/dune-london-littleton-wide-fit-leather-rope-wedge-strappy-sandals/gold/p113202600

But then on the morning of the event I found these in Clarks. So much more comfortable for my feet (I also have a bunion). https://www.clarks.com/en-gb/tessiah-strap/26186638-p?srsltid=AfmBOoo-GXxY8bYrlG3uTjPqLpuupKQlHvUT6Q0cPMHlWKVbv5_e7ydX

Chunkier but I was told they looked good and more to the point I wasn't in agony. They're not wide fit but they were certainly wide than the Dune ones.

Thanks for this thread. I’ve been inspired to order the monsoon sandals for a wedding we have coming up. I also have a black tie event later in the year so I think it’s justified to replace my cheap quiz ones with some more comfortable sandals.
I love the Bobbies ones. Stunning. Just out of my price range unfortunately

Monsoon sandals have arrived. They are very lovely. Think it’s time I say goodbye to my cheap ones which are pretty much past their best but we’ve had some good times & fun blisters so I will miss them
thanks for the recommendation x
