Need a pair of low heeled gold sandals for an event in a couple of months.

I HATE anything other than trainers really. Plus I have a beautiful bunion on one foot that really adds to the joy …

Looking for super cushioned flexible block heeled sandals. Any thoughts lovely S&B crew?

Anyone tried the Air + Grace Dancing Queen sandal? this is the kind of look …

Budget is sub £200.

Ive had those A&G ones and they’re very comfortable. I’ve also lasted a whole wedding in Esska shoes. I find more A&G bargains on Vinted than Esska but always worth a look.

Itsnearlyxmas · 04/05/2026 21:06

Apologies for derailing the thread but i was wondering about a Mary Jane type shoe with a low heel. Are these comfortable?

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 04/05/2026 21:25

I have a couple of flat pairs of air & grace sandals and they are very comfy, so I plan to try their heeled ones. I tried Esska ones recently and found them heavy and a bit clunky to walk in.

CelineIDionKnowHer · 04/05/2026 21:26

I second the monsoon knot heeled sandals. I have them in silver and they are the most comfortable shoes ever.
I have some air and grace flats and I love them, very comfortable but I find generally as a brand they are very narrow (had to send a couple of pairs back) and not as hard wearing as I’d like for the price. One pair of flat sandals I had only lasted one summer!

PenCreed · 04/05/2026 21:27

Another vote for Esska Charlie - I also lasted out a whole wedding in them and they were still comfortable! I did try a pair of Paradox sandals first but they just didn't feel right at all then I got lucky and got my Esskas from Vinted.

I have a few pairs from Sole Bliss, they are so comfortable I can hardly believe it. This landed in my inbox today, I may get it in the pink suede, but the gold might suit you.

I love those A&G ones OP! Great choice

Jakadaal · 04/05/2026 22:30

I bought the Air and Grace dancing queen sandals and whilst they were butter soft on the toe strap I just couldn’t wear them as they were too uncomfortable and possibly too high. I used to be able to wear a wedge heel but looks like those days are over. I have just bought the Fitflop jewelled gold sandal and they are bliss so I’m now resigned to wearing flat sandals but at least I can wear them !

Can’t comment on their sandals but I recently bought the Air and Grace pointed flats (I had a thread on here) and my god they are the most comfortable things I’ve ever put on my feet. If the sandals are anything like as well made they’d be excellent.

Damn - I just read your thread ... I really wanted these sandals to be awful! I so want them ... but they NEVER seem to come up on eBay/Vinted.

My partner still hasn't bought me a birthday present though ... 🤔

deeahgwitch · 05/05/2026 00:27

I kniw Eska shoes are really popular on Musnet but I think they look really clumpy.
Ankle strap shoes make most ankles look thicker.

chocolateaddictions · 05/05/2026 00:39

I’ve just bought some Dune wedges from M&S, super comfy

GelatinousDynamo · 05/05/2026 07:21

I wore strappy gold sandals from Tamaris for my wedding, they were amazing! I still wear them sometimes.

pontipinemum · 05/05/2026 08:32

I am also a big fan of esska shoes. I am not able for heels. But managed a full night with walking between restaurant/ clubs. I won't go so far as to say they are as comfortable as trainers, but it is certainly the best heel I have ever owned. I did also get some lovely Dune ones for my wedding.

I would say as well always read the retailers exact measurements. They can be slightly different.

Do they have to have a heel? If you can go (almost) flat these are honestly the last ridiculously comfortable sandle ever

These are so lovely, but sadly not good for those of us with a bunion. The strap would dig in too much.

They would be lovely but this is a wedding and not formal enough too. Plus bunion

Think I’m going to order the Esska Charlie to try in platinum as full on gold I’ve now thought might be too much. Bit worried that they may give me too much height next to bride / my partner lol.

ive ordered a Calla pair recommended above.

and also a random pair from Crew Clothing that were mega cheap - see photo.

Thanks all. I’ll update upon arrival in case helpful for anyone else.

I was just going to suggest Fitflop. I don’t wear heels any more and find the dressy Fitflop sandals still look great without having to spend the evening in agony.

I bought then in platinum I got a lot of compliments and requests to borrow them! But I will be wearing them to every event I go to for the next 10 years🤣

Amberkitten7654321 · 05/05/2026 12:19

I cannot recommend these enough - I’ve had them about 10 years and I feel like someone is giving my feet a warm hug all night!

If anyone is looking, there were some gold platform sandals (Esska style) on vinted this morning, size 6 brand new from George for £5. Could be worth a try at that price if the right size? It’s not my item btw just reminded me of this thread.

WhyamIinahandcartandwherearewegoing · 05/05/2026 15:03

esska all the way. I hate wearing heels now and hate even more uncomfortable feet! Only posh shoes I’ll wear now!
