Knee or midi length, linen, cotton NOT jersey.
semi fitted - not oversized or smocky as they make me look bigger! TIA

I really like the Hush Kensington dress - I have a few - the cut and patterns are really nice.

Boden or Nobodys Child are my current go to's. Myself and two twenty somethings DD's all have dresses from these two. Often have discounts. Sign up for their emails.

whats wrong with viscose?
Its a natural fiber and hugely preferable to polyester. I have several TIU viscose dresses and they are super comy to wear, and the viscose is breezy and not at all hot/sweaty. It has great drape & swish and works really well for dresses.

Women's Blue/White patterned Tie-belt shirt dress | H&M GB

I have about four or five of these in different colours/patterns, they are brilliant in summer with sandals and tights & boots in the winter.

I like this: https://www.albaray.co.uk/products/linen-stripe-v-neck-dress-ss26?variant=56574626070915. You could size down to make it more fitted. Albaray have some nice linen and cheesecloth dresses at the moment

Lovely but want a shorter sleeve!

No good. All nasty viscose.

Two of these - & lots more on their website - are 100% cotton (they say sustainably sourced, which I think means organic, though it doesn't seem to say that explicitly on their website).

Agree that viscose can be very comfy & cool to wear - I have quite a bit in my wardrobe too! But it's actually classed as a "semi-synthetic" as the wood pulp has to go through so much chemical processing to make viscose.

It's very cheap to make compared to many other fabrics, which is why it's used so much in fast fashion - but its manufacture can be very environmentally damaging due to the deforestation/chemicals/use of water & energy.

EcoVero, Tencel etc are the best kinds of viscose to look for - they're made in a closed loop system to prevent the chemicals entering the environment, &/or made using less water/energy/pollutants than usual, &/or the wood pulp comes from sustainably-managed forests.

This is a good source of info:

Material Guide: What is Viscose and Is It Sustainable? - Good On You

Viscose is often touted as a more sustainable alternative to cotton or polyester. But is viscose really better for the environment?

I would love to know where all the knee length dresses are.

I've recently got a Nobody's Child Starlight dress on vinted which is lovely. I'm a 12/14 with far too much on the tummy at the moment and the 14 is perfect.

I've got an unfolded dress from vinted too which is nice.
