Yes that's nice - I also like the way that she's left the tie loose. More relaxed.

I quite like this too. The colour won't be to everyone's taste but Meghan loves a neutral! It's sleek and fits well and the trousers are long but not pooling around her feet.

Lovely. She read the Mumsnet memo on pussy bows 🤣

deeahgwitch · 18/04/2026 08:56

The height of those heels @KiIIingMeDeftly!!!!!😮
She must have soles of steel 😀

bluegreygreen · 18/04/2026 13:28

She does do casual well, and I love that deep blue (have agreed elsewhere re suitability for that event).

Also like the neutral outfit, except that I will never understand the 'trousers trailing on the ground' concept.

I'm laughing at the Bugsy Malone comment - it's very true! 😄Prince Christian has adopted a similar look!
It's interesting that Felipe was there - I think he's the twins Godparent? No Leti, it would seem.
Everyone looks very nice.

Some more pictures, to add to Deftly's, including the ceremony. I rather like the clerical robes of the Danish Bishop, a traditional ruff collar.
There's a woman who I thought was Kylie Minogue! I'm just trying to work out who she is...

Mystery solved! It's Camilla of Bourbon Two-Sicilies! Say no more.
She looks very chic.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 18/04/2026 21:43

Hah, she does look a bit like Kylie!

KiIIingMeDeftly · 18/04/2026 21:43

And why have one Sicily when you could have two?!

This is a nice photo of the Danish siblings together. I do love Josephine’s dress and I’m sure there is a funny Bugsy Malone caption if only I could think of one!

With all the nice names in the world Mary and Frederik chose Josephine and Vincent.
Apologies to all the Josephines and Vincents in the world.

They're quite French names, aren't they. May be connections through Fred's father and the French part of the family? I think Vincent is more of an oddity than Josephine.

Yes, very common in Irish families as well.

KiIIingMeDeftly · 20/04/2026 10:46

Vincent looks a lot like photos I've seen of Daisy's late husband when he was young.

eggandonion · 20/04/2026 10:54

I have a lovely friend called Vincent. And our neighbour has a sil called Vinnie. In Ireland! (Add to list for potential grandchild...)

deeahgwitch · 20/04/2026 12:23

“Yes very common in Irish families as well.” posts @Maireas
I live in Ireland and I think they would be looked on now as dull and dated.
All the Josephines and Vincents I know / knew would be in their late 70s, 80s, 90s or dead.
I like Fred and Mary’s other choices of Christian and Isabella though.

Perhaps I should have clarified.
Common in Irish families in my generation. My 2 cousin Vincents are 67 and 70. The Josephines are mid 60s.

I think both need a cool retro comeback. I have a name considered old lady chic on mumsnet....I have always hated it!
Im reconsidering Meghans olive shift dress. My daughter who is quire dark skinned had a tshirt bought in an emergency as a teenager and it looked really good. Maybe it didn't photograph well..
Maybe the tights were wrong?

Cassiope · 20/04/2026 12:33

Names just come in and out of fashion. Some that as a child I associated with characters in Victorian fiction are now commonplace, although I've yet to meet a Dorcas.
