We don’t hear or see much of Eug these days so we? Which is probably as it should be given her distance from the throne (Harry take note). Are the Brooksbanks still in Portugal?

I think she also still has Ivy Cottage in the grounds of Kensington Palace - I think it's next door to Nottingham Cottage where William, Kate and George lived for several years and later Harry and Meghan called the "frat house"

I think she is probably keeping a low profile given the situation with her parents.

I agree, but also think it's fairly sensible for the York princesses to keep a low profile for their own PR.
I would like them to continue to be involved at family events and think they will be. Charles seems fond of them both.

Charles is fond of all his nieces and nephews. Which is lovely. I'm one of 12 cousins we were close as children thanks to a granny who would invite us all for Christmas and Easter. Looking back she must have been mad 😅. But between her and our four mothers we'd all have magical get togethers and meals.

I only have five grandchildren and that gets mad enough. But in a good way.

Similar here, one of 12 and we are all close as adults despite geographical distance but thanks to the efforts of our grandparents and parents when we were young, our huge Christmas get togethers are some of my happiest memories. My DCs only have three cousins which I think is a shame, but can't be helped.

eggandonion · 05/05/2026 11:21

My kids have about 20 first cousins and a lot of seconds and once removed. They don't see each other often but love a meet up at a wedding...or a funeral!

AuntChippy · 05/05/2026 11:25

I have at least 30 first cousins. I don’t see any of them. Used to see 5 of them as kids, but probably won’t see any of them ever again.

Ours love seeing their cousins but hardly ever do. They are much younger, in fact I’m closer in age to most of them.

At my father's funeral my cousin's all came up was lovely to see them and catch up. Due to death and ill health my uncles and aunts were all gone bar one who was in a residential home with her husband. They died within 6 days of each other recently. Bittersweet.

It was heroic of the grandparents and parents to get together like this. Don't think I could manage 12 now. But I have such happy memories.

Sandringham and Balmoral must be a wonderful place for children at Christmas and in the summer. Trees, water, lots of fun to be had.

eggandonion · 05/05/2026 14:10

My parents in law had 16 grandchildren but never saw them all together. I think 13 of them were at a wedding once.
My parents had 7 grandchildren but died after the first was born which is sad. I love having my whole family around! I feel sorry for the Sussex kids missing out on the cousin fun whatever differences the adults have.

High street queen Leti has stepped out in a slinky LBD and it's Mango! She does love her Spanish high street brands, doesn't she? I think she looks fab, and the necklace and hairstyle work really well with the neckline.

We don't often see Leti wearing a necklace, but this one looks good with that dress and earrings.

Sorry to anyone who has sent me a pm, I can't seem to open them at the moment, I've contacted MNHQ.

Simple and elegant high street look. The jewellery enhances the look beautifully.

Eaumyword · 05/05/2026 16:31

Leti looks fabulous!

Agreed. She’s for quite a spiky heel going on there as well

Pallisers · 05/05/2026 17:16

Leti's looks fab and I love her hair. She is a walking advertisement for the lower heel.

Yes, spikey without being high, and slingback

Apparently Kate is going to Italy next week for 2 days. She’d better not pack the brown slacks!

Eaumyword · 06/05/2026 08:56

That's another lovely look on Sophie. She really suits light summery colours and long floaty skirts. The fitted jacket is really nice to offset the floaty skirts.

Surely she'd pack the big style guns if she was going to Italy??

One would hope so! Im trying to think what her “literal dressing” outfit would be? A black shawl perhaps? That’s what my Italian Grandma would wear!

She always looks fabulous in whites and creams.

Which part of Italy? It's warmer there than here. I'd like to see some bright colours.

"Reggio nell'Emilia - BBC Weather" https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/3169522

Well it's lovely and warm there next week. So fingers crossed.

deeahgwitch · 06/05/2026 09:31

Sophie looks lovely there. She’s wearing those lovely shoes again.

I love how Leti wears so much from Mango and Zara. Shows you don’t have to spend loads to look great. But I suppose being stick thin and toned with a pretty face helps too 😀
