Interestingly there seems to be a glitch on my sephora account which means every time I buy something I get a £5 rewards voucher to take off the total. I've bought a few things at the £10 - £20 mark and it seems to refresh every time, so it's not that I'm building up the points.

I’m not affected either, I gave up on CB a long time ago and like you, I would rather source from others.

I also agree that CB clearly have no idea/don’t care how much this kind of shoddy behaviour impacts them and how many people read these threads - act on them, but never post.

There was a lovely post on the Xmas thread last year where someone had recommended a tiny company that makes personalised glasses cloths, (amongst other things). They were absolutely inundated with orders as a result and couldn’t work out why.

This came to light when they apologised to someone in the thread for a delay in her order as they had found themselves unexpectedly busy. She emailed back and told them they were all over MN and they were thrilled!

The reverse can happen to CB!

I bought some of their film strip bookmarks, with photos of my family.

They were so lovely and I will buy from them again, because they were really good at customer service and just all round lovely gifts.

I’m glad they did so well and were so happy about it. CB are on a slippery slope if they think this will just ‘blow over’. People do remember.

I think cult beauty must have major IT issues, because they just sent me shipping notification for an order that I received a week ago!

My long lost centella mask arrived! Ok hardly long lost its only Wednesday but it was supposed to come next day on Monday and was missing.

I may have lost all my points but I have 2 CENTELLA MASKS!

Similarly I had a lovely experience with escentual when my black friday Parfums de Marly order was stolen by a warehouse operative, they moved heaven and earth to send me another one at the black friday price after selling out.

We are like anonymous influencers on here.

Thanks, they are going on the good list.

I’m compiling a list of Good and Not recommended from all of the recommendations on here and other threads. It might be helpful later on when everyone goes dolally after the summer holidays.

That’s lovely regarding the glasses cloth company. I was looking to get something like this as gifts this year after being late to the post last year.

I also started to use Escentual and Boop Beauty as a result of recommendations on here, both of which I’ve had very good experiences (and great bargains) with!
Escentual is dangerous though, I have stockpiled on perfume and lip products 😅

Finally catching up over here - and another one who received an “order is on its way” email from CB yesterday, which was rather puzzling until I realised it referred to something that arrived last week!! Definitely some whooooo-eee-oooo noises on the soundtrack over at CB 🤣

Well I just logged into CB today ( I re registered under the same email that my deleted account was under so I could chat to CS ) and I have had my old account reinstated, points and account credit added back.

@LightandBreezy that's great, hopefully they are starting to see sense and realise they could lose a lot of custom after the weekends debacle. 🤞🤞🤞for everyone else affected. If people don't want to shop there it should be on their terms, not because CB messed up and threw their toys out of the pram.
