Uniqlo sizing

I’m baffled by Uniqlo’s sizing. I’m 5 foot 4”, size 12/14 (12 top, 14 waist/stomach). Bra size 32F.

If I’m shopping in Next/H&M/M&S, I’d be buying a size medium, but Uniqlo suggests L or XL.

I don’t live near a store but don’t want to order things in 3 sizes and have to faff around with returns.

What size would you recommend please?

It’s a Japanese brand isn’t it? So sizing will run smaller

I wonder what planet PPs on this thread are on. Uniqlo provides exact flat measurements of every single garment they sell. These measurements are both accurate and very detailed, including sleeve length, trousers’ rise and so on. You have to try extra hard to get the size wrong with the level of detail they provide.

Do you not know your measurements? Don’t own a tape measure? It’s also possible to measure something you own that fits well and go from there. This can be done with a ruler.
