These shoes yes or no?

Im not sure if these are still in vogue or not. I like the brown ones as they would go with everything and black is too harsh for summer.
They are fisherman type without enclosed toes...I prefer toes out. I normally wreck my hip replacement in heels but I want something flat for jeans this summer.
Opinions please.

I also bought these in the Van Dal sale and I think they will take me anywhere and go with everything.

I actually like the Van Dal ones. They look quite European to me, although what you wear with them will make or break them. They could look ‘elderly lady at church’ quite easily.
The fisherman sandals are not chunky enough to look current.

I also spend a lot of time in Europe and the VD ones didn't look so bad to me: I can see they look comfortable, but then, particularly in France, I feel practicality is higher up the priorities for the average bod in the street.

The Van Dal shoes are OK but need the right outfit.
If they are comfortable and you feel good in them they are 'right'.
Style and fashion are not the same.

The brown ones arent the kind of thing I would normally wear. I have to buy from a limited number of shops because of my stupidly wide feet.
Im not sure if they look like something I would have worn in primary school!
I love the van dal ones but would only wear with trousers as an everyday slip on and run shoe and all their shoes suit my square feet.

If Clarks wide shoes fit you, you haven’t got stupidly wide feet! Their wide is not wide enough for my feet 😂

I take the insoles right out...they are usually very thick and I have a pair of industrial stretchers I bought off ebay and put them in for a week. Then wear them around the house with thick hiking socks. That does the trick 😎
Clarks shoes can put up with fairly rough treatment. If I know thet arent going to fit Ill go up a half size.

I wore this kind of thing throughout my motorbiking days. I dont ride any more because I dont think my hip replacement would cope with coming off 😁
Im embracing my inner ladylike self now.

Timpsons stretch shoes for nothing if you don’t want to go through all that faff and expense.
