Starting this thread ahead of the Oscars today. Let’s love or criticise the fashions and not the bodies wearing it.

I am think we will see a lot of Dior on the red carpet either archival or custom based on the latest Jonathan Anderson collection shown at Paris.

This is epic and she is flawless

The Chalamet film is godawful - it felt like it was never going to end.

I watched a programme about a week ago on channel 5, or possibly 4, called something like The Secrets of Haute Couture. It showed them making the feather dress that Nicole Kidman is wearing.

edit: it was a feather dress, possibly not that exact one, but one with a lot of feathers around the hem. I was surprised when I saw the finished dress as they went on about how expensive each feather was, and each one carefully chosen.

Oh Kate Hudson looks incredible in hers. Is she nominated? She was superb in Song Sung Blue.

I love Demi Moore, Jessie Buckley, and Kerry Condon’s outfits, and Rose Byrne looks lovely, although her dress is a bit blah..

Kate never goes wrong, she always looks lovely

Disappointed in Jacob Elordi. This looks like a bad fitting prom suit. It’s a shame as I loved this grrrn suit he wore earlier this year

I really don't like the mullet and moustache look that so many Gen Z actors sport. They just end up looking like they need a wash!

The proportions of the neckline just looked all wrong

Emma's dress did look better on video, when she was moving around, and the back was lovely.

But it's all far too tasteful now that everyone has a stylist. No more Bjork swan dresses or Celine Dion backwards suits!

I'm not so sure...there was one who looked like she came as Miss Havershams zombie ghost, complete with creepy netting all over her! I'll see if I can find a pic. I only recognise like 5 of these actors, I must've been hiding under a rock or something

It might have been the Hamnet director, I can't find the pic but it was on vogue and definitely unusual x
