How high end to go for gym wear to fit in?

Hi, I’ve just joined our local David Lloyd gym - for a small fortune - and want advice on gym wear! Currently I wear next power leggings and an old baggy top but I only do walking and home workouts.

I would like to ‘fit in’ but just blend in ideally. I’m not a take-pictures-in-the-mirror gym goer, but I don’t want to look scraggy either!

I’m going to need 2 x leggings, a high impact sports bra, a good pair of trainers, socks and 2 x t shirts. Also a gym bag, water bottle and probably a padlock 😁 is Stanley still a thing?

Which brands do I go for? Colours? Budget isn’t a huge consideration but I do have a mortgage to pay for. I don’t really want to be paying sweaty betty prices, but if that’s what i need to do 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll also need some sort of costume that says swim, not beach!

Currently 5”3 and a size 14-16, although this is definitely going down rather than up! And I’m 37, but fairly young looking.

please help!!

That poster can’t possibly have been recommending breast surgery over exercise? Can she??? I’m struggling to read it in another way, but what a bizarre comment.

Sports bra here in black and here in green I went for Large

Leggings new balance and m and s

Activewear tops blue new balance and this one although in store it was £12.99 which is rude both in L

Slazenger t shirts white and black got these in a 16 which is a bit oversized

Trainers New Balance 520 and 530 blue and white which are down to £90 at urban outfitters, plus an extra 10% if you sign up to the newsletter (plus they’re hard to get hold of in a size 6, office are sold out again!)

Bag here bit bright but whatever

Water bottle here actually it’s lavender rather than lilac apparently. Purple is purple

Finally my costume here

No, it's part of it. I was exercising before, but it's very common post-reduction for people to really take to exercise and find it quite empowering.
Less time stressing over sports bras. Obviously, you could do what you want, but everyone on the thread finds it utterly life changing.

I wear a mix of all sports brands from Amazon to Lulu Lemon and mostly Nike and an under Armour. But I also wear the odd Band T shirt / Vest over leggings. A bit different to a lot of the matchy matchy women, but no one has ever looked at me like I don’t fit in or anything. I’ve been going there 4 years.

I really like Under Armour these days. Was a Sweaty Betty lover for decades and have stuff that's 20 years old and still going strong but yikes it's got weird over the last few years, sizing all over the place, power leggings with no give in them, shapeless tops. Still like the odd bit of Lulu Lemon and it's always very good quality.
