What's the opinion on Vans trainers on a 40 something woman?

I'm on the hunt for some new trainers as all mine are passed their best . On the off chance, I tried a pair of vans on in a store and they were so comfy. I've seen a cheaper , purple suede pair of Authentics in the clearance section of the website that I'm very tempted with.

My main questions are will I look like an overgrown teenager?

How are they for quality?

If they are comfy OP then wear them, my Vans are so uncomfortable these days, I think my feet got wider and flatter after pregnancy.

And that’s what I mean by me not being in the style for them any more really. When my wardrobe consisted more of vest top, or band top, and skinnies the overall vibe suited Vans. I’m in my beige knitwear era right now so it doesn’t really have the right vibe! Vans always were and will be a skating brand, and I don’t fit that vibe much these days! I just think they must look quite out of place with most other outfits?

What would you wear them with?

Skinny jeans and a plain shirt or jumper ( which in an ideal world would be cashmere or linen , but let's be realistic) .
A longline puffer ,or leather biker depending how warm.

I'm not very high fashion .

My fave winter boots are vans mte ultra cush. So comfortable.

Not all vans are comfy though imo. Some of them are really flat if they are for skateboarding. I've got some other ones that look great but I just can't get on with. It's a risk buying them online

I’m nearly 70 and I have 3 pairs of Converse, plus Skechers, Brooks, Nike, New Balance and Adidas trainers. I’m getting Superga next, will try Vans though!

Yes to skinny jeans (or in my case, Eden jeggings), cashmere jumpers and a puffa gilet!

It is a bit of a risk buying online bit I'm finding more choice at a lower price.

The vans website does a 6.5 which is usually a safer bet for me.
