Tis utter madness.

PestoMonster · 15/06/2008 20:07

Bonkers

traceybath · 15/06/2008 20:07

especially when its so ugly ...

ranting · 15/06/2008 20:08

She'll probably find it a comfort when Wayne is out on a 'grab a granny' night.

artichokes · 15/06/2008 20:08

Isn't it traditional for the husband to spend one month's salary on the engagement ring? By that reckoning Wayne has been rather stingy.

Whizzz · 15/06/2008 20:09

Imagine looking down & finding it had fallen off......

missblythe · 15/06/2008 20:09

However, the only way I would consider marrying a walking potato would be if he gave me at least a £1 million, or goods to the same value. I suspect Colleen feels the same.

TheTeaspoonLady · 15/06/2008 20:10

It'll be on eBay within the year.

traceybath · 15/06/2008 20:10

am i really sad that i'm looking forward to buying OK this week and looking at their wedding photos?

lackaDAISYcal · 15/06/2008 20:10

what the feck is it? and how BIG to be woth a million pounds?

I hate that sort of excess...it's just so bloody unneccesary isn't it?

Mind you, I suppose something has to make up for the fact that he is an ugly little troll!

ranting · 15/06/2008 20:11

Do actual real life people buy ok then?

LIZS · 15/06/2008 20:11

agree why? Don't get extravagance to that extent.

DrNortherner · 15/06/2008 20:12

I have no interest in looking at the wedding photos.

They will be splitting up with 18 months I reckon.

Just like Andy a and Michelle Scott Lee. OK mags have massive wedding interviws, then the folorn looking woman yaers later.

they're chavs, people. seriously. who buys stuff with them in it? pitiful.

LIZS · 15/06/2008 20:17

Do you think that is written into the contract for the Wedding exclusive - rights to break up/baby pics/at home within the next 5 years. Or am I just an old cynic !

traceybath · 15/06/2008 20:27

Sure i heard on the radio earlier that their deal is for £5m as includes first baby photos.

lackaDAISYcal · 15/06/2008 20:33

well said expat

traceybath · 15/06/2008 20:37

You see i knew i was sad to buy it!

Monkeytrousers · 15/06/2008 20:38

You know the story anout Liz Taylor and Richard Burton, DrN?

stitch · 15/06/2008 22:04

if i was as rich, then yes, i would buy a ring for a million. why? because i could. because it would be an investment, as in, it would be mine if everything went pear shaped. etc etc etc.
richard burton bought liz taylor a 69 carat ring in 1969. not only is that romantic, it was very good pr for both of them. so good investment.

in fact, if i was that rich, then i would spend a hell of a lot on things like jewels, and a lot less on things that disapear, and have no value later on. for example, three wedding dressesin the same day? why?

stitch · 15/06/2008 22:05

and because i'm worth it!

ruddynorah · 15/06/2008 22:06

the diamond is the size of a chicken mcnugget, and i quote.

MrsTittleMouse · 15/06/2008 22:13

I would immediately drop it down the plughole if I spent that much on a wedding ring. Mind you, I don't suppose that Colleen spends that much time at the kitchen sink nowadays...

shhhh · 15/06/2008 22:16

I wouldn't say no..!!!

Come on...if you were bought a ring for 1m would you honestly say "oh no thanks, one from Tesco will do".......?

I know I wouldn't..!

MrsTittleMouse · 15/06/2008 22:18

We could have afforded to spend a lot more on our wedding rings. But we chose not to, and to spend the money on something much more boring (actually, we still haven't spent it, it's part of the deposit for when we buy a house).
So I think that I would have said "no". I admit that I am very boring and sensible though.
