New thread because we can't stop chit-chatting and failing our low buy resolutions.

Everyone welcome to join in, new and old alike. This thread is a bad influence zone though so be warned all who enter! 😂

@SheilaFentiman Thank you. I did sign up for the newsletter when I registered but perhaps it only works if you do it through the pop up, which I don’t recall seeing.
I’ll hold off to see if anything comes through on email.
It’s still a good price but I’m stubborn and won’t buy if I don’t get the extra discount knowing that others got it 😅

They must have read my post 😅 I got an email offering 20% off. It stated that it couldn’t be used for anything that already had a discount but I tried it anyway and it worked. Woohoo 🎉 I’m going to put it away for later in the year when I want a little pick me up

SheilaFentiman · 12/02/2026 22:34

@Thelifeofawife I got a confirm your subscription email and then a welcome to the inner circle email with the code.

That will be a nice treat. It is actually my birthday this month but I have been opening my SpaceNK & Harrods calendars that I parked during December. I was supposed to have JL calendar for this month but I’ll make that my April one (no point doing for March as I have too many products to work my way through as it is)

I’m currently using a Lumene face cream that I got in a Boots £10 Tuesday deal, it smells of berries, it’s like smearing yogurt on my face, but in a nice way 😅

Fillybuster · 12/02/2026 23:33

@namechange0998776554799000 me too! And funnily enough, only saw your post after I had placed the order. Might still go with Morphe and return those. We’ll see. Definitely not buying 2 sets. Ahem.

@Sminty2 enjoy!!

IlovePond · 12/02/2026 23:58

Thanks for the hair thoughts @Willow742 and @keepincool

Maybe I should buy some of the PK barrier stuff before using the GG serum as I don’t want a sore head, (my scalp is pretty healthy atm, given all the pampering it’s getting 🤣 and I would like to keep it that way!) I tend to wash my hair at night, though so I suppose I would have to put the PK barrier on in the day or maybe just before washing?

I used the rosemary shampoo sample I got from SK today, (I had thought I was getting a small free bottle, but never mind!) It’s made my hair feel really soft, so I want to get some more rosemary shampoo.

Can anyone recommend any good and reasonably priced rosemary shampoo? (I don’t really think I can justify reordering just shampoo from Korea!)

Peachbubble · 13/02/2026 07:33

@SheilaFentiman @Thelifeofawife Glad you both got the 20% of the Lumene calendar!

Mine is already here and it's rather pretty to look at (3D effect). I was going to keep mine for the run up to Easter, but I'm twitching already and it's still out on a table looking at me, so who knows... BTW, the only reason it's still on the table is I have no room to store it because of my already very large beauty stash! 😂

IlovePond · 13/02/2026 08:33

Hi, has anyone used the Aromatica rosemary hair care range?

I really like the sample I tried yesterday and currently have an £80 basket full of Aromatica rosemary products in my SK basket, (because everyone knows that shampoo, etc. doesn’t count as stash 🤣).

I realise this is pricey, but if it’s good stuff, I want to stock up - I can’t be ordering from SK every couple of weeks!

You can get it in the UK, but it’s cheaper from StyleKorean.

Thanks

keepincool · 13/02/2026 08:56

@IlovePond - Holland and Barrett sel, a lot of Rosemary hair products. They have a Faith in Nature rosemary shampoo for £5.99 which gets good reviews. Might be worth a try if you haven't tried it already?

IlovePond · 13/02/2026 09:04

Thanks @keepincool - I like Faith in Nature products. Will have a look!

2026firstnamechange · 13/02/2026 09:36

H&B also sell nature spell, which is also good, and still on buy one get one half price. I stocked up last week when they gave out the extra points, someone posted about it on one of the threads on here, there was a code aswell but I can't remember, it was perhaps on the app.

IlovePond · 13/02/2026 09:44

Thanks @keepincool and @2026firstnamechange I have just ordered some of the rosemary haircare to try with C+C so I could keep the order under £20 as I haven’t used this stuff before.

I got 2-4-1 on the rosemary oil!

I updated my HB account for £2 in credit, but didn’t redeem it as I went through TCB who are going 15% c/b from H&B plus £2 credit on spending today.

IlovePond · 13/02/2026 09:48

I also used my TCB credit on PayPal to pay - so my H&B stuff was ‘free’, (hopefully also with cashback!)

I just tried out the Trinny BFF I got with my elevator and my skin is burning! There's something in her products that really doesn't agree with my skin. Must stop getting sucked in to deals!

I can't get on with Trinny products either and I hated the scent. I know they are well loved by many and I'm still tempted to try the Elevator despite this. I seem to be in a minority that doesn't rate them though.

BlueLimes · 13/02/2026 12:24

I’d like to try the elevator too. I don’t rate the moisturisers, they sell well on vinted.
I do have a bit of an aversion to her so might be a bit biased.

namechange0998776554799000 · 13/02/2026 13:00

You can buy a mini elevator for £28, it's annoying they rarely show up on Vinted to try it out any cheaper. To be fair I also got an eye shadow with my order and I do really like that, very nice creamy consistency. If I ever buy from there again I will definitely stick to the elevator and makeup

Hicupping · 13/02/2026 13:00

Boots has Strivectin gift sets reduced with their neck cream which is highly rated. I've got it. Can't say I've noticed much but not been using long, it's more for prevention than fixing for me. The cream is daft expensive, the box sets better value and they're reduced too. Thick cream, you don't need much and I don't think it will cause a reaction. https://www.boots.com/strivectin-/strivectin-shop-all?sortBy=priceLowToHigh

You probably won't end up with a sore head, I'm just allergic to many things so like to be belt and braces 😅 I just found I was getting a bit of flaking if I overused the GG serum so pared it back and it still works really well

Thanks for this info - it’s worth trying for £28.

OvaHere · 13/02/2026 14:23

My impulsive purchase of Zoeva pencils arrived today. Super fast postage and I also got a free lipstick which seems really good quality.

I've tried one of the eyeliners and so far really impressed. I need to use them further but the poster who said they preferred them to VBB may have some merit. It applied really well.

I also bought a lipliner that matched the free lipstick and will go with may others too. Only done a hand swatch but impressed that it doesn't budge.

I think I've discovered a new brand I really like. Oh dear but no regrets.

The half price, bought with points Boots Future Renew neck serum arrived too. Will probably be a couple of weeks before I can start on that when my current neck cream is empty.

Thanks for the info @Willow742

Channelling @JoRaRaRa I threw away an ancient Clinique concealer and a crumbled to bits with a broken lid Ciate blusher. Tbf, I was still using the blusher, but it being in bits - literally - was driving me mad.

I also threw away an old M&S perfume double roller stick that was still quarter full but I just didn’t like it.

I need to be braver…

Like you and @OvaHere I can’t put any of those on my skin. Large red patches and burny feeling too.
