New thread because we can't stop chit-chatting and failing our low buy resolutions.

Everyone welcome to join in, new and old alike. This thread is a bad influence zone though so be warned all who enter! 😂

I've just moved onto a grow gorgeous oil I had from a previous BAC/edit too. They're really cheap everywhere though which makes me think either they're going out of business or don't work well!

IlovePond · 11/02/2026 14:15

Mmm- yes, I had noticed that too @namechange0998776554799000 - please let me know how you get on with it!

Thanks

If anyone is fancying a bargain VB Orchid eye wardrobe, I've listed mine on vinted. I was messing around with codes and ended up buying an extra one which VB won't take back. Anyway, it's listed if anyone was thinking of getting it and now fancies getting it a bit cheaper 😊

Has it gone @JoRaRaRa - I am v interested!

You'll be the end of me @OvaHere . First the Cosmic Brushes, now the Viseart sale... I ended up buying a mini palette, lip gloss and blusher. But even worse, I fell in love with one of the out of stock items and ended up tracking it down and buying at full price. Somebody stop me 😂

Sorry about that! 😈

If it makes you feel any better I bought 4 reduced Viseart Palettes. 😳I really love the formula.

Oh dear, no buy Feb is not going well... I've just bought the Lumene advent calendar, reduced to £49 and then with a welcome discount knocked another £9 off, so at £40 with free shipping, 'twas a no brainer!

Much eye rolling in the Bubble household though!

OvaHere · 11/02/2026 14:47

I'm doing pretty well with not buying more skincare or edits. I'm doing very badly with make up.

On a slightly related note I started using the Lancome eye make up remover from the holiday set and I really love it. Previously I just used whatever oil or balm I had open but this is much better for stubborn mascara and doesn't cause eye fog. Downside is I'm now triple cleansing and I think I will repurchase when it runs out.

On favourite edits - I came late to the Beauty edits party, so mine are very recent, but they are:

  1. The Jarrolds Lemon Drop edit - especially the bag which has pride of place on my dressing table - I paid £72.25 with discount
  2. The Liberty Scent with Love and Well Travelled kits - my first Liberty edit forays - https://beauty-detective.com/liberty-london-scent-with-love-kit-2025/ & https://beauty-detective.com/liberty-london-the-well-travelled-kit-2025/
  3. The Boots K Beauty Skincare edit - amazing value at £31.50 - I purchased more as Christmas gifts - https://beauty-detective.com/boots-k-beauty-box-2025/

Also a special shout out for the Cult Beauty fragrance stockings which ended up being the best bargains (I ended up with 4 of them) 😍

Boots K Beauty Box 2025

UPD. Available now Boots K Beauty Box (worth £89.03) is coming soon. Priced at £35. Launch date: 28/08. What’s inside: VT Cosmetics Reedle Shot 100 2-Step Mask Biodance Hydro Cera-Nol Real Deep Mask Purito Mighty Bamboo Cream Tocobo Coconut Clay Cleans...

Yes, it went about 10 minutes after posting on here. I wasn't expecting it to sell so fast 😲

It's sold out in most places as far as I can tell so getting it under RRP is a major bargain for someone. It will come back in stock but it can take a while.

LF Valentines edit has 25% off with code FLASH25 takes it down to £41.24

I quite want to try the Color Wow Volumiser but it's not a good reason to get the edit really. I'd use the Dr Levy and the Elemis balm but the rest of the stuff I'm not bothered about. They're not stuff I think would sell on particularly well either.

I think I'll just have to buy the CW as a single item on offer at some point.

@keepincool - yes, those stockings were excellent!

Oooh isn’t February dull so far?
off to look at LF valentine’s edit.

My Beauty Bay haul just arrived and I am thrilled! I got the Wanderscape palette which is beautiful, plus a Samplr palette which is lovely too. A great way of testing out some more adventurous colours without breaking the bank. When I got the order confirmation it included a mystery free gift: it's a full size Beekman bloom cream, which I am very pleased with!

Also in my haul was a cleansing balm, eye cream, primer, lip tint and brow pencil. All for a grand total of £42.64!!

The delivery man also brought two tops from Vinted which are lovely, so I am having a great day overall 😁

That’s a good bargain @namechange0998776554799000 !

Lurkingshark · 11/02/2026 17:35

@OvaHere I’m late in life to Lancome but bought some holiday sets. There are still some available with the remover ( and perhaps other lovely goodies ) on good discount - look fantastic, boots and deb@&?!ms if I remember. I stocked up on that, regenerie which is now HG and the mascaras which I love, plus some fragrance minis. Ooh and loads of remover on vinted.

triple cleansing gets you through the stash!

Fillybuster · 11/02/2026 17:41

Those are both lovely @namechange0998776554799000!

I’m suffering from an unrecognised ailment that I shall term “palettitis”. Not only do I own way too many eyeshadow palettes in the same colour ways, some of which have accumulated over many years (UD Naked 1, 2 AND 3 originals, I am looking at you!) but for the first time ever I have found a single palette (Morphe Rose) that I like so much I not only finished the first one but am already half way through the second and still not interested in using anything else.
This is most unlike me!! At this rate I risk turning into someone with a sensible makeup drawer.
Help & interventions urgently needed!

I feel like a saint for only ordering one!!
Look forward to your reviews, I am definitely a fan of them.

pinkchampagne1 · 11/02/2026 17:49

I haven’t bought any skincare or edits this month. My last purchase was my FtF mystery box which was a great bargain.
I am finding myself wondering if I should buy a Ziip Halo though, despite owning a Foreo Bear 2 which is probably pretty similar. Someone needs to give me a good talking to! 😐

@pinkchampagne1 Do you rate the Foreo Bear? I’ve been looking at this and the Ziip. I’ve never used anything like it before.

My most used was the UD palette, repurchased many times, and now my go to is the Morphe rose.
I did recently purchase the D&G mini palette, which I’m saving for my upcoming birthday outings

I’ve plenty of others, and am considering the Viseart ones (and still swooning over the Pat McGraph Mothership palettes), but I will keep being drawn back to the ones above!

CorneliaStreet · 11/02/2026 18:50

@Fillybuster I keep hoping I will be struck down with palettitis but it hasn’t happened yet. Though I have managed to sit on my hands long enough for the two Viseart palettes I had my eye on to go out of stock, so I’ll just have to use the three Viseart palettes I already own instead.

I also have the Natasha Denona mini rose and the UD Naked 3 so no shortage of pink eyeshadow, but I of course now really want to get the Morphe rose 🤣

I think it does make a difference, especially just after using it, but it is very subtle. I am just wondering if the Ziip gives better results.
