It's terrible. I'm in love with all her stuff, especially the tailored suit sets - matching coat, trousers, waistcoat. The whole lot would be around £1500 - talk me out of wanting to splurge on this. Thank you.

@Winteriscoming80 So in essence, you are happy buying a uniform. At the price point, do you not ever look at other brands to vary your look? I don’t understand the need for brand allegiance and following the herd.

The core stuff - the tweed, made in the UK garments - are the jewels in the crown for JHC; most of the other stuff is synthetic fibres, made abroad. For instance, she has a mini skirt made in pleather (shudders).

I have a few bits and tbh it’s fab. I have a wool dress that is just absolutely stunning and gorgeous to wear. I find the gilets are a bit short but I’ve got a long torso.
i think you have to be careful to not wear it head to toe as it can look a bit bling with all the hardware.

Exactly this. Its very try hard.

I have a few items including equestrian and ski , some good quality other everyday items not so great. I like there clothes though but they are expensive for what you get.

Okay? I can spot them too, I still like them.

I think the quality is a bit hit and miss now.

@Winteriscoming80 Tweed coats? What relevance is that? HC use tweed though! HC is everywhere where there’s a horse!

Oh I do love my HC coats and have had them
since she started out but I’m now looking at alternatives. Customer service was fantastic in the day, not now. I still wear my beautiful coats but I won’t buy any more.

There is a hilarious articles in Financial Times IG page on Jade/HC that quotes MN. My favourite line is “some say her clothes are closer to country cosplay…”

Ive followed Jade for years and admire her drive and achievements but Ive bought a few pieces and wellies and the quality is poor.

Well spotted. I have a cotton jumper from HC that is still perfect after about 5 years of wear. And I have a non-cotton one that looked a bobbly mess after about 2 wears (was a Christmas present from DH so not much I could do about it). You really have to pick and choose well. And I agree that her equestrian wear is pretty good, for the most part.

Well, I read the full thread before I succumbed to looking at the website ... Knew of him, had vaguely heard of her.

It's awful. Anything vaguely okay is ruined by ghastly gold buttons & logos a-go-go.

If Jilly Cooper's Rivals were set in the present day*, then it's what Valerie Jones or Sarah Stratton would wear if they attempting to do "country" ...!!!

*Or should I say set about a decade ago, as it's not exactly modern-looking. Nor is it truly classic, with all the bling stamped over it.

That one is positively discreet compared to the stretchy ones! I've never been much of a hairband/headband fan anyway (aside from some early looks like Bardot & her back-combed hair & wide band), but these are dreadful.

And clearly she doesn't believe in stopping at one logo per garment ...
