No 7 Pro Artist foundation and No 7 powder blush.
The foundation is so light and covers all my redness/sun damaged areas. It’s so easy to blend in and stays looking perfect all day.

62 year old here who hates the feel of a liquid foundation and Im loving Laura Geller, I use the double take on my red oily t- zone and go over and blend out using the balance and brighten. Leaves me looking finished without looking I have a face on

Jones Road What the Foundation and Tinted Moisturiser. I had a thread deleted recently for praising them as it sounded like spam! But honestly, best foundation and tinted moisturiser ever.

Try Iconic London illuminator drops added to your foundation, comes with a pipette for control. I add this to double wear if out all day or Eborian if more relaxed.
Iconic blurring skin tint is also very good, satin finish, again I usually blend in a drop of double wear.
Also Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder is an excellent translucent power to lightly brush over your foundation, they call it uberlescent.

I currently use L'Oreal true match. The shade is perfect for me. I'd say it's a satin finish. For more glow I use Milani skin quench primer (white tube). I pump the foundation on the back of my hand to warm it up then apply it with my fingers. I think I'd probably repurchase both, and that's rare for me.

BusterGonad · 28/01/2026 11:54

Just to add, I'm 47.

The problem for me with cheaper brands is the colour range tends to be small and very samey, usually too orange for me. I have been doing well with Clinique vitamin spf50 foundation, I bought it in store and got colour matched by a machine, it’s the best colour match I’ve had, and that immediately makes it look better than others that are just workable. It wears well, medium but buildable.

Delilah is good. I tried it in store when I was wandering about killing 20 minutes and I am massively sold on it. It seems to stay out of my lines. The under eye stuff is good too.

Chanel Les Beiges - gorgeous! I apply with fingers

Toosoon12345 · 29/01/2026 09:48

Like me , and its hard, but it can be as hard in store

Most cosmetic sites have colour matching "quizzes ", if they do I suggest doing them at least 3 times at different times of day I say this from experience, get three different readings and not one is going to be a match, out of the three and you get two matches you are on a winner

Ensure its a total refund if the colour is wrong

There are also comparrison sites, you tell the site which brand and colour you use, and it will tell you the colour you need in the new brand

I use the Laura Geller powder foundation. It doesn’t sit in the lines or go patchy like a foundation the liquids did

Appletree56 · 30/01/2026 20:18

Trinny london BFF, designed for us older ladies. No cakeing or settling in lines.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 30/01/2026 20:26

I've just started using the Dior Forever Skin foundation stick. Recommended to me on here. I have rosacea and thread veins on my cheeks. I picked a slightly darker shade than the MUA at Dior picked out for me and it was the right decision. I don't have to use concealer as well as foundation to cover the thread veins. Very comfortable to wear and lasts really well with a light dusting of translucent powder. I've been blending it with my fingers.

I find the Trinny BFF doesn't provide enough coverage and I've gone off No 7 Hydraluminous.

RampantIvy · 30/01/2026 20:35

Ditch the foundation and go for tinted moisturiser.

I agree that the budget brands tend to have a smaller colour range and tend to be on the orange side.

I wear Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser in Cameo, which matches my skin tone exactly.

I’m using Bobbi Brown weightless and find it reasonably dewy with light/medium coverage. For me the shade selection was good.

Hdpr · 30/01/2026 21:35

Another vote for Dior Forever. I use the liquid and love it. I’m 50

The thing that put me of this one was the perfume. I'm sure that when I used it years ago it was perfume-free but the new version is scented and can irritate.
Correct me if that's wrong as I've not used it for a few years.

cerisepink889 · 31/01/2026 13:33

Charlotte Tilbury airbrush flawless is great really light but a good coverage.

Needtosoundoffandbreathe · 01/02/2026 10:45

The Dior does have a light, fresh fragrance so I appreciate it may not be suitable for those with sensitive skin. However, it seems to dissipate and doesn't linger. I'm really impressed because I don't need concealer on top on my cheeks and a light dusting of powder means it lasts all day.

cashmerecardigans · 01/02/2026 10:50

I’ve just bought the new No 7 pro works foundation and it’s really brilliant. I had been using Estée Lauder renutriv, which was amazing but so expensive I couldn’t justify it. This No 7 one is great. A bit more than their standard range but I think it was £28 or so and they always seem to have vouchers too

Girlking · 01/02/2026 15:26

Charlotte Tilbury beautiful skin.
Very natural looking and blends well with a brush.
Go to a Charlotte Tilbury counter and get a colour match that works for you skin colour.

GabriellaK · 02/02/2026 17:36

Does anyone use Lancome foundation?
I had one years ago (I mean years- like 40!) which isn't available now.

Issue for me is I'm pale/neutral and too many are too yellow or pink.

I'm tempted to look at them again as well as Laura Mercier.
