Warm, grippy, comfortable boots

I’m after some boots matching the description above that are a little more stylish than walking boots.

I know there will be lots of recommendations for dr martens but I have wide, weird feet and I’m too worried about them needing to be worn in but still being uncomfortable and it being an expensive waste!

Thank you in advance!

Watching with interest

I have Sorel boots which are so warm and more comfortable than slippers - but not grippy at all! So annoying

They do different types of boots, city, snow, walking etc…

the walking boots tend to have a good tread.

I got the Sorel Explorer Carnival a couple of weeks ago. Tested them on the icy/snowy pavements this week and they were great. Wore them to the park when it was wet & they kept my feet nice and dry. I did waterproof them myself too though.

I thought I would share my SOREL boots with you…. I use the Brex leather ones at work as I have to treck through some icky things sometimes. They’re comfy and have the best grip. The black snow boots are also amazing. (Schlepping through icy streets after work and through snow.) They’re called Kinetic Impact NXT snow boots. I also have some Explorer 2 flooffy ones. They are waterproof enough to stand up to rain if you can avoid the puddles.) All of mine are a couple of years old and there are newer versions of all of them. I’m currently lusting after the Ona Ave Alpine boots as they look like slippers.

But most of the year, it's just wet and not snowy and you look a bit weird
