Run out of Claire’s ear piercing cleaning solution! What can I use?

DD has just announced that her supposed 3 weeks supply of Claire’s ear cleaning solution has run out - at 00.30 1st Jan!

No way to get to buy more tomorrow, doubt our closest Claire’s is open anyway.

Anyone know what is best to use to clean her piercings with tomorrow? Salt water??
Also any recommendations for something I can buy as a replacement if not the Claire’s stuff?

Big eyeroll at all the pearl clutching over Claire's. The deed is done. The ears are still ok.

Your DD should rub a big blob of Vaseline onto her piercings, front and back, and rotate the earrings.

Definitely don't do that! Vaseline will attract dirt and bacteria which sticks to it and turning will break the inside seal and slow healing/risk infection.

Witch hazel or surgical spirit

Salt water will be fine, we used dilute hibiscrub.
Just remind her not to touch/twist/fiddle with them at all.

Shocked at the terrible advice for vaseline/surgical spirit/dettol.
If you don't know the answer please don't recommend!

NRTFT as I got annoyed at the comments about Claires (it's done now so what's the point?) and outdated suggestions.

As others have said, salt water.

Alcohol etc is too drying and can lead to skin irritation which if it gets very bad can cause cracked skin etc which can be sore but also lead to possible infections.

Turning earrings irritates the skin and can actually delay healing and can also encourage dirt to be rubbed into the wounds. Plus, touching open wounds also introduces germs because being real, not everyone will antibacterial their hands everything they touch their new piercings.

the advice DD and I were given for our piercings was the LITHA method
(Leave It The Hell Alone )

These are needle cartilage piercings done at a Tattoo studio.

If one of mine gets irritated I use boiled and cooled salty water ( just above body temp)
