Looking for a cross body bag in rust or similar - up to £250 - moving up in the world from my Uniqlo £15 one!!

I would love some ideas ... I've never bought at this level before and the sales feel a perfect time!!

I'm looking for a stylish step up from my favourite much-used bag of the moment.. ideally in rust which works with so many of my clothes...

Well, the Aspinall one is lovely.

For a more basic bag, I have the Whistles camera bag, which is nice and well below budget.

Thanks @IDontLikePinaColadas - I do like that but am really looking for a hyper-versatile use everyday with almmost everything bag... Im realising rust isn't really a colour much used... Dark rust would work but not burgundy ...

I realise Im looking for more chestnut than tan....

And definitely understated rather than too many embellishments... elegant, understated, ideally an interesting shape or something that sets it apart but without any fuss...

Go for the burgundy Aspinall. It's a bag of beauty. Stunning, and in budget. What more can you want?

I may be over invested in your decision. Particularly as I think Radley and Osprey are expensive bags!

The Aspinal is beautiful. They do great bags. One thing to consider….will it be annoying to you if you have to open the flap on the bag everytime you use it if you are used to a zip opener. Sounds random but I have both types of bags and much prefer just a zip rather than faffing with the other style as it seems to take more hands to get things out!

I presume you think the tan examples shown are too yellowish in tone? This is what I'd consider to be more rust/chestnut in tone. Ignore the horsey styling - it's very classic in style & smart without being formal.

Recently upgraded from Uniqlo to this bag and no regrets! I have burgundy but I think it also comes in a chestnut colour? Really love it.
