What footwear is trendy now?

I really need new shoes and I want something trendy.

I'm thinking Birkenhead soft clogs, with white socks on.

But I'm not sure. I have one pair of LV sunset comfort sandals that I love but I feel bad for wearing them daily, what stylish shoes can I buy? Sort of this style but not too similar.

I live in a warm climate.

Budget is around £70.

Literally everything I've seen on this thread so far is hideous.

I'm quite happy in my cosy Pavers boots and tan/black Adidas Campus at the moment...

I'm inclined to agree with you even though the word 'literally' pisses me off

i think any style of Adidas would be a winner for at least another year, comfortable, can wear with everything... low profile models getting the most praise of late

I've been messing about trying different models lately and I can't get the Spezials or Gazelles to fit or feel comfortable on my feet. Campus are the ugliest but god they're so comfy.

@FletchFan , thanks. I might retreat to Pedants' corner. Smile

Who What Wear is a load of crap and nearly everyone wears adidas where I live, which makes the crocs-wearers look stylish.

I can’t believe these abominations are back. The puma ballet flats, I mean. They were uglyand useless in 00’s and they still are. Why?

Hahahaha I loved them for holidays. So nice to slip on and off when needed to climb steep steps or a hill, and then quickly switch back to cooler flipflops for beach or flat pavements. Not sure my ageing feet would cope with them again, but I wouldn't mind otherwise.

To be fair they are absolutely amazing for walking in hot places. I wore something similar first time I went to Disney Florida in 2012. They looked hideous, but very practical.

Don't get shoes with no back support. I e seen so many more foot injuries from them recently 🤣

I overbalanced on heeled mules 25 years ago and can still vividly remember the "crunch" as my ankled folded sideways. Never again.

Summerhillsquare · 26/12/2025 07:39

Aaaand all of these us why I'll be sticking to my ancient Birkies.

reversingdumptruckwithnotyreson · 26/12/2025 13:06

I wouldn’t be wearing Birkenstocks in a warm climate, to be honest.

Maybe some Onitsuka Tigers to get away from the adidas overwhelm.
