Like Dr Martens but better!

I have some Dr Martens Chelsea style boots which I love. Love the shape and the fit however, in the winter they don’t keep my toes warm. I’ve tried fleece liners but they are too thick so make the boots uncomfortable. Are there any brands that are similar in style but would actually keep my feet warm?

All the Aussies & Canadians I know swear by Blundstone.
Not sure where the middle ground between those climates is but should do all right in soggy Britain.

Blundstones are great, waterproof, warm, very comfy, cured the heel pain my dms were giving me, and they last and last

So I’ve finally bitten the bullet & ordered a pair of lanx! It’s taken me all this time to be brave enough. They’ve got Hothersall down to £160 but an extra 10% off that too so thought it was worth a try. Fingers crossed they are everything I’m dreaming of in a boot 🤣
I hope you love them as much as I do. The Hothersall is a great boot! I have 3 pairs of Lanx.
Dh has three as well, I think, maybe four!

@notacooldadim excited to get them. At first I thought they aren’t really my style but the more I look at them the more I think they are pretty versatile. I have high hopes!

This! I have these in brown, they are the most comfortable boots I have ever owned and are so warm & cosy. I have a pair of DM which I like a lot, but hardly ever wear them now as I always reach for the Westland ones first ! In fact I’m just about to order the black ones as I love them so much.

While my Westland boots were incredibly comfy, the sole cracked within a year and now just lets the rain in. Not good enough quality. Hope you didn’t end up buying a second pair!

@notacooldadthey arrived & I love them more than expected however they are too big (I think). It says order standard size which is an 8 but my heel slips. 7.5 is oos which I think is what I need. I’ve ordered the 7 to try. The 8 is actually okay with a fleece liner in but I’m not sure I want to rely on that.
if the 7 is too small I’ll need to decide if I pay full price for a different colour or hold out for another sale in a 7.5……I’m tight so I’ll probs hold out. However, at least I know what boot I want which has finally ended a 3 year search 👏

Im glad you like the look of them and the boot search has ended!
Ive never had an issue with sizing all all the Lanx boots I have are a size 6 with no issues. DH has to wear his boots in, but thats with nearly ever shoe, teainer and boot he has ever bought!. Ds1 is the same as dh and ds2 is same as me!

Rieker. I have 2 pairs, 1 pair black plain ones and 1 are like DM cherry reds. But they are comfy from the first second!

I love my Riekers , have a funky pattern pair and a plain black with lace ups and zips up side - they are my boots versions of Skechers - just very comfortable and I’m on year 3 of both of them

@notacooldadi got the size 7s. They fit perfectly. 10 days in to wearing them and I’m in love. They are getting better & better each time I wear them. I’m a bit smug with them

so glad I started this thread as I had never heard of lanx boots so thanks to everyone who suggested them
