Jones Road Miracle Balm anyone?

I treated myself to this a while ago. I rediscovered it amongst my stuff the other day. I tried it and realised why I'd forgotten about it. I quite like the colour match (mine is Dusty Rose) but it's so weirdly solid, awkward to apply and the scent is unappealing.

Have I got a bad batch? I'm I doing something wrong? In the photo it looked thick and creamy; more like a foundation you might find in a tub.

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Forgot to say that when I last wore it (dusky pink) someone asked me if I was having a hot flush!

I worship mine, takes 30 years off. Smidge only gives best effect.

I barely wear make up & after medik8 primer I add mascara and lip stain, finish off with concealer on festive Rudolf nose.

Game Upped.

I quite liked it but was allergic to it..

I'm sure there are cheaper options that work as well.

I think mine is dusky rose

If anyone wants to try it DM me your address and I will post (when I find it!)

You should have laughed knowingly

I think all of the glow-y cosmetics (which I like) are supposed to give you the I just had a roll in the hay and it was GOOD look

Binned mine as found it was worse than vaseline, hair kept sticking to it and the smell was gross. Weirdly clumpy to apply no matter what I did. Waste of money. I use the Revolution £4 or £5 dupe called Balm Glow now. It's beautiful and so easy to blend. Fave shades are Flushed Pink and Peach Bliss but Bare Pink is pretty similar to Dusky Rose. And the smell is lovely. Think I've mentioned it on here before.

I was going to purchase this and didn’t for some reason but had already entered details. The spamming of emails after! I had x 3 in one day!!

I was so disappointed in Jones Road and I really did want to love it! Agree about the miracle balm, it’s just too sticky and doesn’t sink in. I tried the foundation and it’s also awful, like a really thick, heavy duty night cream that I could feel sitting on my skin all day. It’s also got a weird, bitty texture like something in it has separated and is highly scented. The only product I sort of liked was the eyebrows pencil, as it’s the perfect shade for me. However they managed to mess that up too, by making it in a thick ‘chubby stick’ size rather than a fine pencil. Odd choice given the range is aimed at older women who are more likely to have sparse brows.

I like mine!

Lucia573 · 21/12/2025 06:54

Agree that it’s awful stuff. My hair kept sticking to it. I tried the foundation in store: also awful gloopy stuff. I bought an eyeliner and it was hard and scratchy. Disappointing as I love Bobbi Brown and expected it to be good.

Thanks for posting this as I have been looking at this for months trying to decide whether to take the plunge!! I’ll give it a miss!!

Omg same here! You all saved me!

I got sucked into buying several colours but I hated it. Sticky and the smell was awful. Friends love it though.
However the lip and cheek stick in rosy brown is one of my favourite products. It’s a lovely colour and texture.

ThePoetsWife · 21/12/2025 08:53

I have this and use it everyday (I hate foundation) - use a little, warm it up and it goes on nicely. It does give me a lovely glow - and can be a bit sticky if i use too much.

Thanks for this, I tried it again and it actually works much better. You really need to dig deep! What an odd design 🤯
Mine is “Pinky Bronze” which the sales assistant recommended as a good allrounder. I now wish I had bougth one of the lighter and neutral shades.

😬That's not what you want

It's not good when things don't smell nice. It's obviously not the main reason for using something like this but if it's off putting.

Someone gave me some Liz Earle skincare. Unfortunately it smelled blerk and I just couldn't use it.
