I think I might use today’s offering, just not the sparkly ones!

I think it might go into teenage DDs stocking as not quite my colours, but I have to say I am impressed with the calendar so far. Everything I will either use, or can gift onto DD or a niece. Been well worth the money so far.

brightnails · 08/12/2025 08:24

I had a social media free day yesterday, I used the spray all over my legs and bum after XC (even tho I already had similar) it’s a nice fresh lavender not “nan” and I’m not likely to use today’s eye shadow pallet very sensitive eyes so my other DD can have that. I’ve only used the buff blush on my lips but I wouldn’t say orange

I love the eye shadow palette. And yesterday’s magnesium spray is really nice. I sprayed it on before bed and slept like a log (but that may have been the half bottle of wine I drank).

Fifiellz · 08/12/2025 09:04

Liked the blush, my DD nicked it but I will be sharing as it was just my colour. Haven’t tried the spray yet and was really pleased with the eyeshadow palette - have been half heartedly looking for one with those colours so I am happy!

Fleecy · 08/12/2025 09:10

Was working lots over the weekend, so didn't get a chance to post. Today's isn't the most exciting brand, but those colours are right up my street and I love a bit of sparkle this time of year, so I'll enjoy having a play around with it. Haven't tried yesterday's yet but I'll use it. Might be nice to apply it before bed.

Treviarpelli · 08/12/2025 23:03

I’m still enjoying mine but am comforted to discover I’m not the only one struggling with reading packaging/ labels! I may try the glow stick now, I’ve been putting it off due to the very lurid colour,
Does anyone else’s Magnesium spray fizz and dribble all over itself? I think mine may be faulty but as this thread has just told me I’m supposed to be rubbing it not just spraying it on, maybe that doesn’t matter so much!

brightnails · 09/12/2025 09:19

@TreviarpelliI found the magnesium spray foamy compared to the holland and barret one but it rubs in with minimal effort. We all love Aveeno dermatologist 19 years ago put me onto it so I loved today’s

Twilightstarbright · 09/12/2025 09:28

Hello my people! My lovely mum bought it as a surprise for me. I’m enjoying it so far.

Treviarpelli · 09/12/2025 15:30

Now I know to rub it in, it’ll be fine I guess though most of it ends up over my hands - at least they’ll smell nice!
I tried the glow stick today and was impressed at how something so orangey virtually disappeared.
All wins so far for me really, the winner being the REN eye cream so far I think.

WelcomeToDecemberItGetsWorseHereEveryDay · 09/12/2025 15:46

My magnesium spray itself seemed fine @Treviarpelli but the contents don’t seem to do anything particularly! Loving that people were using as perfume or pillow sprays Grin Hello @Twilightstarbrighthow lovely of your mum Xmas Smile DH gave me mine as a surprise as it’s been a shit year esp last couple of months and it’s really cheered me up having it to look forward to each morning.

I love Aveeno too but usually use the spray lotion so it’ll be interesting to see if this is “richer”. I love the L’Occitane hand cream - sorry I’ve a few days to catch up!.
The blusher I have only tried on one side of my face due to black eye and glad to see it doesn’t look as garish a shade as I imagined it would from looking at the stick. I’m really annoyed with my eye/whole side of my face being so bruised actually as it means I can’t try facial things properly. Very annoying timing. (It also hurts to use hand cream with my dislocated thumb so I’m not doing too well!)

PS are you a gardener @brightnails with your blush queen reference?

Twilightstarbright · 09/12/2025 16:26

The hand cream is so lovely, my dry winter hands appreciate it.

brightnails · 09/12/2025 16:56

@WelcomeToDecemberItGetsWorseHereEveryDayno I’m a very bad gardener, I’d like to be better no it’s a “my 600lb life” reference 😋

it’s the older nurse? short hair? I think she’s called Rosie? they refer to her as ‘blush queen’ on ‘my 600lb podcast’ for obvious reasons lol

Today’s night cream is a win for me, smells lovely ☺️

Fleecy · 10/12/2025 08:41

Retails for £39, so that's a good chunk of the advent price in one day. I have a night cream on the go but this will go into my stash to be used when the current one finishes. Looks lovely!

brightnails · 10/12/2025 09:47

I’ve never tried to Espa mask so I will, smells a little bit spicy I’m getting cinnamon lol, I like the “then retire to bed” don’t need telling twice 💤

@pollydollydoodlealltheway its got that spa smell!

brightnails · 11/12/2025 18:56

about the espa mask; I had a good sleep with it on and I suddenly looked in and mirror at work and realized a red area that was coming up had completely gone

I don't know if I used it correctly last night but it felt quite sticky and dry. Skin felt nice this morning though.

GumFossil · 11/12/2025 20:47

I put the ESPA mask thing on last night before bed. It was like really thick glue. My skin does feel nice today, though.

Sadteacher · 11/12/2025 20:52

Agree, I don’t always. Use things straight away, I try to use old ones up. But I love espa and this did not disappoint.
was the one today a leave in mask. Again, small print and relying on others to tell me what it is 😂

pollydollydoodlealltheway · 11/12/2025 21:07

Espa mask?! I think I’ve missed this! Which drawer was that in?

pollydollydoodlealltheway · 11/12/2025 21:08

Ah ok, realised it’s the night cream!! Thought I’d missed something 😂
