I have the worlds worst sensitive skin and stupidly have in to the no 7 saleswoman and spent a ridiculous amount on a night serum and cream, day cream and primer and my skin is not happy! She said I could return if it irritated my skin so going to try to return after work today (I got a foundation too but that seems ok)
what do you all use for your sensitive skin? I’ve tried simple , Aveno, Clinique but none of that works . Help!!

Sorry I meant “I use Nivea from blue tin for sore areas and flare ups.”

I have the world’s most ridiculously sensitive skin and use either Pai or Rosalique.

Please can I ask which cleanser do you use with the E45 cream?

I don't really - just wash my face with water and then slap on some E45. I don't often wear make up but if I do, I remove it with micellar water and then wash my face with water afterwards.

Thank you @Endofyear I will try water only with the E45 and see if I'm any less dry. I don't often wear makeup either.

Op - glad to hear you got refunded in Boots today!

Cerave face wash and Vit C serum are great for my 50s dry & sensitive skin - I’m less keen on the moisturisers as I find the lotion too light and the cream too heavy. Aveeno Calm and Restore day cream and night creams are lovely.

jellybee · 01/12/2025 20:52

Oh and Bioderma Sensibio Micellar water is the only make up remover that doesn’t bring me out in a rash!

Elemis or Clarins. Clarins in many places will do you a free mini facial. No obligation and the staff are extremely knowledgeable.

Dr Jart+ Cicapair.

You can buy trial sizes in Boots.

Eucerin aquaporin is great

Physiogel calming relief anti irritation cream (previously Oilatum face cream) has been my go-to for years, and keeps my annoyingly sensitive skin in great condition, with zero reaction. Currently e.g. on Amazon EU.
But I think it's pretty much trial and error seeing what your particular skin will thrive on, and not react to. Hopefully with all the suggestions here you'll find something perfect for you.

I like Avene Cicalfate+. Excellent for sensitive dry skin.

Very sensitive skin here too OP! Simple and No7 creams made my eyes stream and caused the redness in my skin to look worse!

I find E45 cream none irritating to my eyes and skin (no stinging) but for me the moisturising effect doesn't last very long. I have dry and mature skin.

@Floisme do you use the oils for cleansing or moisturising? The aveeno that you mentioned is that the special face one in a pot or the standard aveeno in tubes?

Hope you find something to suit you op. When my skin can't tolerate much else I just use coconut oil! 😁

I use them for both: cleanse by massaging in and wiping off with a flannel and then add another layer to moisturise.

I’ve used almond and grapeseed oil too. Funnily. enough, the only one I’ve tried that didn’t go well was coconut oil which smelt divine but left a greasy film on my skin whereas the others all sink in. It shows how different we all are!

The Aveno is the standard lotion in the tube.

No 7 day creams made my eyes sting. I thought it was just me, so I'm relieved to hear I'm not the only one.

I use this now which I buy from Amazon. Cheap as chips but very good moisturizer.

The clarins extra sensitive in the white and peach packaging. Not the red packaging! (The red triggered eczema)

I also get on with Trinny’s sensitive skin range including the serum.

Strumpetpumpet · 02/12/2025 07:41

I use Dermalogica and cerave. The Dermalogica sensitive face wash is the only face wash I’ve ever used that doesn’t make my skin feel tight x

Thanks @Floisme I had some avocado oil in my kitchen cupboard, so I tried it this morning as a moisturizer and it felt calming on my skin 🙂

Op I think Floisme is on to something with the face oil!
