I can't either, lapin.

Then you have to go and scrub out the tub of the next person slides all over the place.

Plus, imagine what that stuff does to your drain?

I used to have the Origins Salt Scrub, and it's great, but as we travelled a lot, I'd always save it for use when we were staying in a hotel .

Body Shop Body Butter and/or Palmer's Cocoa butter lotion - the sparkly stuff when you feel the need.

expatinscotland · 08/06/2008 16:43

It does, Gobbli. The WORST is that baby oil in gel form.

I still have some in the cupboard.

I bought it after reading abuot it in In Style mag a few years back.

I blame pregnancy hormones for the purchase.

Putting oil on your legs also turns them into a bug magnet.

Clinque's facial exfoliator - the 7 day one, is still brill.

And I do like the Origins facial scrub.

womblingalong · 08/06/2008 17:07

The Lock In Moisture Leg Oil is lovely, a dry oil that leaves a bit of sheen, so not sticky. It smells fab too, and £9 is better that £32 for that this works stuff IMO.

I'm using the St Ives Apricot facial scrub and it's lovely - dead cheap as well (well, compared the Lancome one I was using previously!)

Gobbledigook · 08/06/2008 17:09

So does Palmers coco butter have a sparkly one?

I've got a boots organic sugar scrub for body (I think) - not overly impressed but it's OK.

Basically I need a tan and not going away till flippin August and by the time I get back it will be time to break out the winter tights!

womblingalong · 08/06/2008 17:18

So is the PP one Cod

womblingalong · 08/06/2008 17:18

Have used both BTW

lizandlulu · 08/06/2008 17:31

yes where can you get pp stuff from? it looks like i need some for my holiday on friday

soapbox · 08/06/2008 17:35

The Champneys glistening oil and the citrus dry oil

are both lovely for parched legs - very similar to the clarins one, but much cheaper!

You can buy them in Sainsbos!

expatinscotland · 08/06/2008 17:36

the Soap and Glory scrub was pretty nice. i got it for free with Boots points, though.

expatinscotland · 08/06/2008 17:38

yes, Gobble, Palmer's has a sparkly one.

here

Gobbledigook · 08/06/2008 17:41

Ooh Soapbox - which of those does one need? Not both? Heading to sains tomorrow so will look.

Expat - will look for that tomorrow too!

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 08/06/2008 17:42

Nothing like a few petro-chemicals to rub over you legs.

This is what's in those baby oil gels: Paraffinum Liquidum , Hexyl Laurate, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Chamomilla Recutita Oil, Bisabolol, Parfum

Nice.

If you want super-soft skin but don't fancy a chemical sheep dip for your skin - try 100% pure organic shea butter. here It's cheap, natural and is great for babies and adults. We've been using it for the last year and would no longer contemplate rubbing chemicals into our bodies for moisture - it's just not needed.

soapbox · 08/06/2008 17:50

GDG - I love the glistening one for evening but the citrus one is great for day time, and does moisturise better as well.

Another more expensive option for evenings is the Elemis, body melt and their www.elemis.com/BodyCare/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=32 scrub]] is lovely too.

cornsilk · 08/06/2008 18:04

palmers cocoa butter is fab.
good old olive oil is fine as well. Bit smelly though.

Gobbledigook · 08/06/2008 18:14

Excellent - thanks Soapbox, will get some tomorrow if they have it in.
