What do you use (cream?) or do to help get rid of crepey skin on your arms?

@whimsicallypricklyI try and have protein with all my 3 meals daily. I also drink a lactose free protein shake daily with water which gives 25g protein. I aim for at least 100g protein daily but it depends on your weight as to your optimal amount-there’s loads of info online on how to increase your protein intake.

That shake sounds interesting! Which do you use? Thanks for all your help 🥰

Do you have any recommendations for a weight lifting routine which I could follow?

I have an online personal trainer and she recommends exercising your major muscle groups. I saw Sally Gunnell on insta the other day and she was demonstrating exactly the exercises I do at home. Have a look for her. I started to be stronger heading towards 60 and a side effect has been a definite improvement in the appearance of my arms.

@whimsicallypricklyI use the My Protein Whey Isolate protein shake and mix it with water so it’s not too filling. I also add 5g creatine to it which also helps muscle growth and I think it helps my menopausal brain fog. I’m in the habit of making my shakes up and drinking during my weights class but I also have one on the days I don’t exercise.

I definitely don't eat enough protein. What's an easy way of upping it?

eggs or Greek yogurt (not Greek style!) for breakfast, whizz up smoked mackerel fillets with cream cheese for a quick pate to have for lunch.

I have a scoop of this in my coffee - totally tasteless and an easy way to up protein. x

Does the derma rollers help?

Baby oil on wet skin locked in with thick moisturiser gives a temporary improvement to the appearance. Also those home RF skin tightening devices help a bit. However the only 'cure' is to fill the skin up again by gaining weight and building muscle. Or surgery.

I have been doing it on my forearms because the skin was getting all crepey when I was flexing my arm, it works. Same for fold lines on the elbow, hands and wrist.
But you need to go at least 0.75mm or deeper and you ll probably need 2 or 3 treatments (one month interval between sessions at this depth and results and it always takes 3 weeks post-session to see results), but it will tighten your skin.

A vote for Lucy Wyndham-Read and her 7 min arm exercises- or even 3 and 4 min routines have worked a treat on my arms
No weights just your own body weight
Also Cassey Ho Blogilates but her exercises are very tough

Yes I heard without 2-3 treatments it doesn't really make any difference
