Is there a shower gel that moisturises?

I forget to moisturise all the time ( due to a mixture of depression/adhd/possibly autistic) and wondered if there's a shower gel that actually moisturises?

30 years ago i worked in the beauty industry and was told there is no product that can remove stuff and add it at the same time, and that has always stuck with me. Shower gel/soap are cleansers, cleansers are supposed to remove dirt and grime therefore they are designed to run off the body/face. Moisturiser is supposed to add moisture, therefore, stay on the body/face.

So in answer to your question, I'd say no, however, you can buy stuff that is not as drying to the skin. I found a decent bar soap and turning down the temperature of the shower (I used to like it to almost scald me, now the colder the better, but I"m sure there's a happy medium), means I rarely have to moisturise my body.

Yes I don't see how it is possible for something to be both a soap and a moisturiser. The shower gels marketed as moisturising I think just have something in them that clings to your skin making it feel slightly oily, giving the impression it has been moisturised. All just marketing nonsense as usual

Have you tried Sanex, E45 or Aveeno? I have found some bar soap less drying than liquid which may mean you don't need a separate body lotion as often.

I'm another one recommending an olive oil soap bar. My dry skin has completely gone and has never felt softer or smoother.

Sol de janeiro delicia drench shower oil is really really good for this. I forget too or can’t be bothered to moisturise after a shower and this works so well for my drier than the sahara skin. I used to use the loccitane oil that’s been recommended on here but I definitely prefer sdj as it’s more hydrating and I prefer the scent of it

I use the Sanctuary Spa shower oil. There’s also a in-shower lotion that you apply in the shower and dry as normal. It’s lovely too. That may help?

Hydromol. Need warm water and a flannel to get it off but skin is so comfy after it and fantastic as a face cleanser bye bye makeup

Its due to neurodiversity. I'm the same and struggle to take medication. Everyone says take it first thing when you get up, set an alarm, take it just before bed... none of those things work for me, OP may be similar. It's very difficult to explain to neuro-typical people.

That's it exactly. I have best intentions, but just don't get round to it. Zero motivation due to depression doesn't help either.
