ELR · 01/06/2008 18:24

if i was queen or primeminister i would make it law all women wear varnish on toe nails!!

Heathcliffscathy · 01/06/2008 18:24

what is 'gel'?

Nbg · 01/06/2008 18:35

I've just today chipped my nail varnish but the rest I am ok on.

Oh apart from a blister from my new wedges

sylvev · 01/06/2008 18:39

Used my pedikure lotion" this morning! Amazing liquid which goes on cotton wool on hard skin and then you scrape it off! Very satisfying. Also painted toe nails, so feet looking good. Now, as for the rest of me....?

andiem · 01/06/2008 18:52

soph gel is special nail polish that they harden with uv light so it stays on for ages they say a month but if you are careful it can last longer about 2 months is my record

BoyzntheShire · 01/06/2008 19:28

a link to this hardskin melting liquid please

melsy · 01/06/2008 19:32

sounds a bit ick said like that!!!

what do you scrape with? Those blades they use make me nearly faint!!!

maidamess · 01/06/2008 19:33

Enough with this feet talk. Am feet phobic.

MABS · 01/06/2008 19:38

God no, regular pedicues mean my feet are always ready to be bared.

suedonim · 01/06/2008 19:40

1 Yes

2 Absolutely not though I am worried my steward will conduct juju with any clippings he might come across....

3 Non-existent. Dd asked me the other day why I buy so much nail polish when I never wear it.

4 No, because I filed my hooves last night.

5 Ditto

OOOOO andiem, that sounds fab....are the colours limited?

BroccoliSpears · 01/06/2008 19:49

Did you know that if you leave it long enough, nail varnish remover loses it's powers? I didn't until I tried to sort my manky toes out last night.

sherbetdipdab · 01/06/2008 20:19

I don't do cuticles, but my friend does, just wondered if anyone else did. She is a beautician though. I'm frightened that as I get more pregnant I might have to ask DP to paint my toenails for me, and he is not a beautician!

maidamess · 01/06/2008 20:20

Cod just put clear over the top of the smudge, don't re do. Too much faff.

jingleyjen · 01/06/2008 20:26

wow you ladies are amazing

  1. Un-doubtedly
  2. No toenails are mutant max length 1mm except for big toe.
  3. nothing to paint.
  4. No
  5. No
triffictits · 01/06/2008 20:32

I've just done mine and then came and read this on MN.

I soaked feet in foot spa, used that hard skin foot sponge you all told me to buy (its fantastic), loads of Boots Gorgeous Feet cream on and socks.

In an hour or so I'll take socks off, do cuticles and paint my nails. Going on hols next week so I'll have to do them again mid week to make sure they last the week!

I love Sally Hansen Insta Dry as a top coat - makes your varnish dry really quick, and adds top coat shine. Get some Cod, you wont have the problem of nail ruined when you put shoes on.

Nbg · 01/06/2008 20:45

Actually I do have hairs on my big toes.
My Fil calls me a Hobbit.

Apart from Slubber who is assualted by her beauty therapist, does or has anyone tried to removed them?

It fecking hurts!

My feet are lovely, but one of the mums at school showed me her gel tips last week.

What are they exactly? Do I need them?

fishie · 01/06/2008 21:13

i am no to 2-5 but could do better as is nearly a week old.

essie silver.

if you put two coats on toes it will always smudge. do it next day if you need more than one.
