I have been invited to three of these in the next month (DH's job) and unfortunately all will feature many of the same people (boo hiss - no outfit recycling!)
What do you wear to such things? Can anyone find me something online? Please help or I'll go in my jeans and flip-flops....

I like the second one - actually I like them all but the second one is more the kind of thing I'd wear. It'd look great with a silver cuff too
Marks and Sopencer deliver out here but I'm befuddled by the amount of stuff on their site - some of it is VERY flouncy...

Germany is a fashion wasteland...

There are indeed shops but either very expensive or polyester heaven. PLus this week is half-term so have two small children wanting to help. I thought internet shopping would be easier...

The black shift dress that Cod linked too is lovely, so long as you've not got big boobs I think.

Sorry, Gap don't deliver do they?
An alternative to a dress could be wide legged linen mix trousers, with a selection of tops and accessories?

janeite · 26/05/2008 10:29

Ooh this is lovely too though:

I have the kind of bosoms which, while adding nothing at all to an outfit, cannot be left to roam unfettered so the shift dresses are good, I think.
