Another wedding guest dress one

SIL is getting married in a Scottish castle next month; the men in the wedding party (including DH) are in navy tuxes.

What's the verdict on any of these dresses? Or does anyone have any other recommendations? I am also thinking about tulle skirts, but struggling to find tops that would work with them.

I'm early 40s, size 8 mainly (sometimes 10), 5'4, but completely carrot-shaped - wider shoulders and my hips are totally non-existent 🤣

So the v-neck, A-line/skater style is very much the style that suits me best. Pencil or shapeless dresses do absolutely nothing for me.

Would like long sleeves and I'm also quite petite so maxi and dresses with lots of excess material completely drown me.

Number 2 is nice OP, and please don't let the fashion police on here put you off if that's what you like and feel comfortable in.

I'm slightly younger than you and would not consider someone wearing that dress to be frumpy. In any case, as a PP said it's a wedding, not Paris fashion week.

Some of the more 'current' alternatives posted are quite ugly IMO, though I second the suggestion to look at Hope & Ivy.

I'm voting for number 2. I think it's really pretty and a lovely shape. Plus it's quite close to the colour of thistles, perfect for a Scottish wedding (I am Scottish, lest you think I'm not qualified to comment!) Some of the suggestions on here are, to my eyes, really ugly so it just shows that it's all down to personal taste. Have fun at the wedding!
