City walking trainers ...that don't have the big clunky heel...but able to do 20,000 steps a day !

Hi.
I am very petite with petite feet .

Big clunky trainers do look a bit silly on me with a dress !

City vacation with a lot of walking and steps .

Or are the heels part important in the comfort ?

Thanks .

Vejas

SabrinaThwaite · 28/05/2025 19:41

I like Skechers D-Lites and New Balance trail shoes for city walking.

CharlotteRumpling · 28/05/2025 19:42

Fitflop Rally. Though not the epitome of style.

Melancholyflower · 28/05/2025 19:47

Adidas SL72

More supportive/cushioned than Sambas or Gazelles but not chunky.

Thank you all so much .

I have these as well. So comfortable.

Either Sorel or Saucony, took a pair of each to Japan and did those sort of steps each day. Really comfy and went with most outfits.

Soonenough · 28/05/2025 21:10

@CharlotteRumpling I have packed these tonight for city break . I have them in black and white . The black ones are not my favourite tbh.

Calmdownpeople · 28/05/2025 21:20

If I was doing this I would wear my allbirds or sketchers

RaisedVegBeds · 28/05/2025 23:58

I’ve just got some Puma Palermo and they are great for walking around and come in wide range of colours. I also like that they are suede and not all synthetic materials. I’ve just ordered a second pair in another colour.

I wear Adidas SL72 - lightweight, incredibly comfortable, and less clunky than most trainers. I walk miles every day in mine.

lenalove · 29/05/2025 11:37

On cloud trainers! Very lightweight and so comfy

I’ve looked at them online but never bought. Do you have the very chunky-soled ones? I worry about going over on my ankle wearing them, though the cushioning looks glorious!

Hoppinggreen · 29/05/2025 12:05

Sketchers or Air and Grace
I find Vejas really heavy

These are my ones: https://thesportsedit.com/products/on-running-shoes-womens-cloud-6-black-white-3wf10060299

They don't feel overly chunky once on - I have a tendency to go over my ankles (hypermobility) but have never had that issue in them! I was hesitant due to price but if you can I would say go for it. I now have two pairs because I wear them so often.

Have a look at Hoff. I like the city style. They are slightly more sporty looking than some others recommend on this thread but they aren't chunky. I find them really comfortable and there are loads of colour combinations to choose from.

I like my Veja esplar too but I don't think I'd find them comfortable for as much walking as you are planning. The rio branco style might work though.

sugarapplelane · 29/05/2025 19:24

My adidas gazelles are so comfortable as they have a built in arch.
I could walk all day in mine

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 29/05/2025 19:26

Recommend Hoff for comfort.

Softpebbles · 29/05/2025 20:46

My adidas SL72’s are really comfortable too 😊

Comfy but not particularly breathable. I find my feet get very hot after a day of walking in warmer weather....
