Pull on comfortable summer trousers?

I have become a bit addicted to trousers that are comfortable and don’t have a button etc.

Can anyone recommend any stylish pull on trousers for summer?

I have these linen trousers and they wash well. I also bought a thicker plain black pair for the same price.

@sepsisandAKI I'm about 5'4 and the regular length is perfect, a lot of trousers can be too long but these are great

sepsisandAKI · 05/05/2025 06:54

Thank you. I'm a bit shorter at 5.2 but trying to work out how to order the shorter length ones they say have. @Westfacing I've just seen you sent the link and about my height. Did you order normal length ones?

I bought them in-store and don't remember there being any other lengths, other than regular. I'm also 5' 2" and a half and always on the lookout for shorter lengths!

They are advertised as 'ankle' trousers so on a taller person they would ankle length but for us shorties they are regular length. Let me try and take a photo!

A lot of the recommendations on this thread are for wide legged linen things, which are indeed very summery, but swamp me (5’3”, shaped like a breeze block).

I’ve bought these in several colours and absolutely love them - incredibly comfy, incredibly light, and the nature of the fabric helps them look not too scruffy.

Agree. I can’t stand the massively oversized wide legged ones flapping around- too much fabric.

another vote for Primark ,
I got three pairs , two plain ones and one with a Aztec pattern

try them on though, the two plain ones are both same but different colours and both medium one pair if definitely more snug fitting than the other

@Westfacing thanks so much for the photos. Just what I needed to see. I appreciate you taking time to post them. I'm going to treat myself!

Me too OP I have a tiny waist and larger hips so zip and button trousers always have loads of loose fabric at the waist so i always get pull on trousers. I buy from cotton traders, roman, next, M@S. I've just bought a lovely pair of pink summer trousers fron Next.

Cantonet · 05/05/2025 10:37

I've recently bought these khaki pull on barrel shaped trousers from Zara & they're lovely & not frightfully long as I'm 5 ft 3. I saw them on Melissa Murrell on Instagram first

Secondly these M&S lyocell pin tucked jeans are brilliant, flowing & also pull on.I also saw them on Instagram first on Invest In Style.

I ordered those from Next and although they are lovely trousers ive had to take them up by 4 inches even though i ordered regular,im 5ft 5inches tall.As i say lovely trousers but a bit of a faff to take up..

Yeah I've had to do the same with these, if you have a look at the Uniqlo ones recommended above they are the perfect length and don't need taking up

Gettingbysomehow · 05/05/2025 15:22

Trouble with linen is they look like a creased rag after sitting in them. This is why I never buy it.

familyissues12345 · 05/05/2025 17:52

I bought some nice pull on linen trousers from Next last week, they don’t look like much on the hanger, but really nice on. Could be dressed up or down. I bought navy, but they had quite a few different colours

Yes - Next are normally very good at doing petite sizes but I noticed that none of their items within ‘The Set’ come in petite. Annoying.

Socksrus · 29/05/2025 21:04

Saint and Sofia runway pants are fantastic….pull on but still look current rather than old lady

TheScottishPlay · 11/06/2025 21:00

The M&S carrot leg trousers mentioned above are super comfortable. Size down though and at 5ft 6, the short length is ankle grazer length on me.

itbemay1 · 11/06/2025 22:46

Next had loads in today when I went in to collect a parcel! Lovely colours and different fabrics too

fruitpastille · 11/06/2025 23:09

H&M They say cropped but I'm 5.5 and they are ankle length. Very flowy soft fabric. I love the zebra print but the fabric is quite thin so need to choose undies wisely. Only £14.99 though.

Hydrangealover · 12/06/2025 00:19

Try H&M and New Look for linen / comfy drawstring trousers. This is why we need Topshop back on the streets! Trousers must be tried on.
