It's fab. It makes your skin glow. Love it.

fishie · 04/05/2008 20:48

i was given some as pres but not that keen. the little cloth is nice though, i have extrapolated and use a paper towel with cleansing milk.

prideandprejudice · 04/05/2008 21:07

I'm a big fan - it really does make you glow - but can't be bothered with it every day. Once a week at the most - good job as it costs about £60...

Bluestocking · 04/05/2008 21:15

I love it, the cleaner itself is ever so slightly gritty and that and the cloth do a great job of exfoliating,. Then the whole hot cloth routine opens the pores (I think). It leaves my skin feeling really nice, not at all dry like some other cleansers.

AitchTwoCiao · 04/05/2008 21:16

i think the same as bluestocking.

cheeryface · 04/05/2008 21:18

is it the cloth / exfoliating that gets you glowing then ?

£60! Really?

cheeryface · 04/05/2008 21:22

it's alot of money! thats why i wanted to know what makes it so good.

i have been using no 7 cleanser and removing with liz earle muslin cloths, so, i was wondering if the eve lom would make me look noticably better.

it would have to be good for me to pay that much!

It is fab but too expensive for me now I'm a SAHM. I use Liz Earle instead which is a mid-price equivalent, and very similar.

If I was rich I would go back to Eve Lom though.

SnafuBecalmed · 04/05/2008 21:29

Lush Ultrabland with some baby muslins is just as good and about a tenth of the price

sfxmum · 04/05/2008 21:30

boots time delay do similar much cheaper and rather lovely, my current budget does not stretch to Eve Lom

amidaiwish · 04/05/2008 21:52

it made my skin really sensitive, way too harsh a cleanser for me.

AitchTwoCiao · 04/05/2008 21:55

harsh, really? are you sure that wasn't you rubbing too hard with the muslin? (cos i've done that... )

amidaiwish · 04/05/2008 21:58

no - it was just "too" cleansing iykwim.
i had some Guinot facials after using Eve Lom for a few months and she said whatever you are using stop now as you are stripping your skin. i told her Eve Lom, and she said oh yes she has seen this effect on a few people.

i did love the feeling though - super clean!

AitchTwoCiao · 04/05/2008 22:00

that's interesting, i've got classic combo skin and mine LOVES eve.

lou222 · 05/05/2008 12:02

love love love the eve lom cleanser
but am happy to say i have found one by virgin vie, seventh heaven nourishing cleansing balm - just the same - for £15.50 !!
it's got a muslin cloth aswell, smells the same and i think it's just as good.

motherinferior · 05/05/2008 12:04

M&S does what I understand is a good ripoff version - the one in the blue jar - which I am keen to try.

PerkinWarbeck · 05/05/2008 12:05

motherinferior, do you have a link please ?

motherinferior · 05/05/2008 12:11

here

Anna8888 · 05/05/2008 12:39

It's way too expensive. Designer cleaner.

There are other fabulous cleansers (better IMO) that are much cheaper and much less faff.

But they aren't used by WAGS .

katierocket · 05/05/2008 12:41

I've used to use it and I do think it's good but not that good. I use Liz Earle now which has the same principle of hot cloth etc. I just honestly didn't think the eve lom was worth the money.

motherinferior · 05/05/2008 12:44

Anna, what would you recommend? I do like the texture of the EL; though in fact I use one by a funky little Welsh company that's packed with lovely orange oil at the moment.

Anna8888 · 05/05/2008 12:46

I adore Sensifluid by Aderma (and others on MN have endorsed my recommendation ).
