Low buy/no-buy 2025

Anyone up for a low-buy challenge for 2025? We had a no-buy/low-buy 2024 challenge and I found it helpful to check jn and read others' updates. I'm going to set some rules but essentially I'm not allowed more than 1 new item a month - so 12 items for the year, including shoes.

I've decluttered tons, and have 3 empty storage boxes in my loft now and I really don't want to fill them up again!

Yes, please @D20 . I've been really good this year, have bought a few things, but I thought about all of them and made decisions to only buy things I needed/would use. It's been great feeling accountable to you ladies!

Over the holidays I'm going sort my wardrobe. I don't actually think there's much in there to get rid of, but I want to start 2026 with my wardrobe suitably sorted.

I think a wardrobe sort out or audit is a great idea. Tell us what you find!

I've finished off the year with a pair of black horseshoe jeans and a pair of school trousers. I must have tried eleventy three pairs of school trousers so am happy to have finally found a pair.

Planning on a similar low buy next year. Though M& S have reduced their sequins and I've spotted a bronze bolero jacket. Only buying if it goes below 20 quid.

I also finished off the year with some black jeans lol. The same jeans I bought in summer but a different colour and thicker material. I’m toying with buying a neutral coloured wool jumper in the sale as I have a voucher.

I bought a pair of slippers, a summer jacket and a longer jacket and two pairs of £12 chinos in summer. I have a surfeit of coat hangers because I’ve sent more to the charity shop.

I’ve bought a mascara, because the last one was used up.

Yes, I now have 3 pairs in 3 different colours 😆 And I've bought Adidas Samba x Liberty which I've wanted for months.

I've not done very well. Immediately after Christmas and during the Boxing Day sales I can't think of anything worse than shopping but as January drags on and the '10% off sale items' emails arrive I'm back in the game.
The items I've bought are on my mental wish list, so that is something and I am trying to buy better quality clothes.
