Anyone got these shoes from FitFlop? Verdict?

These trainers

These chelsea boots

Been having some arch pain (hypermobile ankles, overpronating feet etc) so tempted to try these. Want the support but still want to look stylish. Does anyone have either of these shoes?

I don’t have any foot or mobility issues but I have the Chelsea boots in black and love them so much I bought a back up pair. They are very, very comfortable and great for work when I have to walk to/from station and school run.

DollopOfFun · 06/12/2024 19:50

Slightly embarrassingly I have both!
Well, the trainers in fabric and the boots in black.

So comfortable. I bought when I was suffering badly with plantar fasciitis (someone recommended). The PF is now long gone, but I still wear Fitflops practically every day as they are so comfortable- and I walk 6.5 miles a day when commuting.

saveforthat · 06/12/2024 19:51

I have the chelsea boots in suede. I absolutely love them.

Thedownsideisup · 06/12/2024 19:56

I have both, too! The trainers are very comfortable however I got them in white which I don't recommend as I'm always having to clean them but that would happen with any brand.

I have the boots in black and I love them with trousers. I had hoped I could wear them with skirts also but they rub the top of my leg too much to wear without thick socks. That might just be me, though, and I'm curious whether others wear them with skirts.

Patienceinshortsupply · 06/12/2024 19:57

I wore a pair of brand new Fitflop boots (similar to those Chelsea ones) on a trip to New York. We did about 20k steps a day for 4 days and they were honestly like walking on clouds. They are unbelievably comfortable - I've got arthritic bones on the top of my feet so am uber fussy about boots.

Ah that's a bugger, I don't have any issues with them rubbing so I can wear with skirts and tights.

Secretvet · 06/12/2024 20:26

Another person with both here! I find fitflop the most comfortable brand for my feet, I’ve had plantar fasciitis in the past and after I started wearing mostly fit flop it went. I have two pairs of Chelsea boots and the trainers as well as several pairs of original fit flops. Love them, and can walk miles in them.

Smallinthesmoke · 06/12/2024 20:46

I have both. Hard recommend. Life changing if you have foot problems. Just a pity you have missed the Black Friday discounts :(
@thedownsideisup The chelsea boot rubbing thing got better after a bit for me, they softened I think.

Secretvet · 06/12/2024 21:28

On the discount front keep an eye on m and m direct as they often have discounted fit flops for good prices. So the navy F form trainers are £69 on there.

DianaRiggsCatsuit · 06/12/2024 23:01

I have the trainers (in a different colour) and they are so comfortable. I really recommend them.

FourEyesGood · 06/12/2024 23:10

I have the Chelsea boots in suede and they were comfy from day one. I only buy FitFlops shoes and boots now, because pretty much anything else aggravates on my plantar fasciitis (and because they do size 9s for my huge feet).

I love the way the boots look with skirts - midi and mini.

tillyandmilly · 06/12/2024 23:12

I have 6 pairs of Fitflop boots - super lightweight I am a size 9 Uk - like a platform sole - the only problem is my older Fitflop boots were better made and lasted longer - bought a pair last year and already looking scruffy with creasing on the platform rubber wedge sole - not cheap either!

autumn1610 · 07/12/2024 09:18

The have the f mode trainers on m and m direct for about £65 but I think they are slightly different as have some suede on

I'm interested in the boots for when it gets wet or icy and slippery. would you all recommend for this? My big fear is slipping

@buzzheath apologies for hijacking your thread, this is super helpful to me as been looking for a decent pair of boots this winter.

Pattygonia · 07/12/2024 11:08

Another one adding to the fitflop love! I had some PF issues with my feet a couple of years ago - bought some fitflops and have never looked back. I have one other pair of new balance trainers and some walking boots from Merrel but otherwise all my shoes are from fitflop. They're true to size and consistent enought for me to be happy to buy online (and if you stalk them on amazon or their own website most designs are reduced at some point). The only thing to look at carefully if you're buying on line is the design detail. They've got a bit of a habit of putting random metallic, "snakeskin" or sometimes glitter elements on a shoe, which is fine if that's what you want of course, but I prefer a plainer style. Haven't got the ones you mention but I'd def give them a try

keeperofdarktails · 07/12/2024 11:11

Totally recommend the trainers, I've got several and I live in them. They have spoilt me for comfort!
I bought a pair of adidas a while ago , just to jump on the trend, and couldn't believe how uncomfortable they were. There was no bounce or cushioning so I just felt like I was stomping around gracelessly. Won't make that mistake again!

Also I bought the welly version of the chelsea boot and I love them. Have worn them on non-rainy days as they don't look too welly like either.

Painaupain · 07/12/2024 11:17

Very interested in these boots and trainers, but I have very wide feet. Does anyone know if they’d work for freakish wide feet? Thank you!

DollopOfFun · 07/12/2024 11:19

@Fathomless so far I've never slipped in the Chelsea boots, and I've navigated wet leaves, ice, slush and the worst of the worst- damp cobbles 😂

Barney16 · 07/12/2024 11:29

Sorry to jump on but dies anyone have the knee length boots? I have sciatica which is worse after I have done a lot of walking. I'm beginning to think it's something to do with my gait and I'm wondering if these may help.

Caterina99 · 07/12/2024 11:30

I bought fit flop trainers after I had terrible plantar fascitis last year. Love them. And my PF has gone and hopefully stays gone!

Will definitely be investigating the boots

katseyes7 · 07/12/2024 12:02

I have the Chelsea boots, l got them for work, and they're wonderful, smart and so comfortable.
Fitflops have been my 'go to' shoes and boots for over 25 years since l broke my ankle badly and needed proper support.
I've got 3 pairs of the Mukluk boots in varying states of wear, one pair of slip on full toe mules (they were my first ever ones when l couldn't get full shoes on, my ankle was still very swollen) and two pairs of sandals.
They're not cheap (for me, anyway) but l wear them literally every day, so the cost per wear is well worth it, my original ones are still going.
Obviously a bit the worse for year, but still like wearing slippers, comfort wise. I'm going to buy another pair of the boots, l'm in my mid sixties now, so they should see me to the end of my days.

I agree; pretty much all my shoes are fitflop. I have boots, trainers, sliders, shuv etc. etc. I love them

Smallinthesmoke · 07/12/2024 14:34

@fathomless I've never slipped in the chelsea boots in the wet, but if you're thinking of ice, snow etc try the fitflop walking boots (Hyker).

Smallinthesmoke · 07/12/2024 15:20

Ooh Fitflop just sent a code GIFT25 for 25% off any footwear this weekend only
