I tried it on in-store and it's so comfy, soft and warm.

Not too sure though. What does everyone think?

It’s just sooooo 2007…

mjdle · 21/11/2024 12:00

I've got something similar from Zara, warm and comfy to throw on when I'm going for a casual look, had lots of complements on it, I prefer it in black 🙂 have a look on vinted, got my Zara one for £14 and was perfect condition.

Tallzaragirl · 21/11/2024 12:04

You have all put me right off it anyway 🤣

Fwiw it does cover my bum. I don't know what shape I am but I'm 5"6 and 9 stone.

I'm not going to buy it 🤣

It’s a nice coat definitely prefer the lighter colour to the black. The black makes it look basic

Look I wouldn’t buy it. I think it’s too short and I didn’t like the colour but if you like it get it!

you say it’s comfortable, you obviously like the style as you picked it up to try it on so bugger what anyone else thinks.

MissMoneyFairy · 21/11/2024 12:11

Have you looked at the longer ones in uniqlo?

Pivotting · 21/11/2024 12:13

I like it and have seen it IRL - it looks v cosy and is less orange than the pics.

I am in the market for a new short puffer though as I’ve never got into the maggot coat trend.

RaraRachael · 21/11/2024 12:13

Too short - I have a similar length one I got in a Next sale and it's lovely and warm on the top half but my bum is always freezing.

Also not keen on down lined things - I had a jacket with this and if it rained the feathers stuck together in a clump and my shoulders were wet - even with just a shower.

ConstanceM · 21/11/2024 12:14

Very masculine. Ok if that's your vibe

Viviennemary · 21/11/2024 12:15

It's ok.. But of you like it that's the main thing. It's not awful

MissMoneyFairy · 21/11/2024 12:15

MandM have half price puffers

StarDolphins · 21/11/2024 12:17

Hell would freeze over before I bought a jacket that had caused suffering to animals.

Plus, it’s also a horrible colour imo

GettingStuffed · 21/11/2024 12:56

Boring as what it looks like.

However M&S do not use feather or down that is taken from live ducks or geese.

Tallzaragirl · 21/11/2024 12:56

@Ginkypig I know we shouldn't care what others think, but I have been known to really regret purchases.

I don't want to be walking round with people thinking "wtf is she wearing".

It's nice!
Why did you share an AWIN link, are you hoping to make some commission?

What the heck is an AWIN link? Looks like a regular M & S link to me.

TubularBeIIs · 21/11/2024 13:15

I don't like it OP. Don't like the pockets or the collar. M & S plain ones are more stylish.

Isometimeswonder · 21/11/2024 13:58

I need things to cover my thighs as I really get cold there!

MorrisZapp · 21/11/2024 13:58

Tallzaragirl · 21/11/2024 11:57

Can you share the version you gave please?

embassyofbricksandlogs.com/product/fargo-puffer-jacket-black-olive/

Mine is no longer made but this is the updated version of it. Mine is olive green with teddy coloured fleece in the hood. Side zips and slightly longer at the back than the front. Honestly, it's an absolute beezer of a coat and worth every ridiculous penny I paid for it.

pumpkinpillow · 21/11/2024 14:11

I have a shortish puffa/parker. It sits on my hips. I wear it with flares or wide legs and think it looks better than my longer coat. I am tall and slim.

Neveranynamesleft · 21/11/2024 14:20

I dont like the collar, the colour or the length.

ItGhoul · 21/11/2024 14:49

Personally I wouldn't wear it - puffer coats of any kind make me feel smothered and claustrophobic and I also dislike the colour. But if you like it, buy it. Even if it's not to everyone's taste, nobody is going to notice it and think 'What a terrible coat'. It's not something that's going to stand out and draw attention.

AmICrazyToEvenBother · 21/11/2024 18:39

Won't you get a cold bum? Why have such a warm jacket for your butt and legs to freeze?

Bigminnie1 · 21/11/2024 19:12

Purplecatshopaholic · 21/11/2024 11:55

It’s better in the black. The other colour is really not nice! Dont like the collar but that’s just me. It’s probably nice and warm but it could look seriously frump- central as it’s just a bit meh. Sorry.

I really disagree about it being frumpy- i really like it and it looks like something from urban outfitters that my teen and her friends would love- so I suppose if you are happy to dress like a teen!
I don't suit short jackets but if I did, I would wear this. Maybe without the down.

Parapaderapa · 21/11/2024 19:27

No teen around here would wear that! The only person I can imagine it on is Doris from Gavin and Stacey.

YellowAsteroid · 21/11/2024 19:54

Hmmm, I'd never wear that colour (too muddy and blah), but it might suit you. Everyone has different colouring. It's a fairly ordinary jacket - I'd want it a bit longer, to at least cover my bottom. Other than that, fine, but not unlike a hundred other puffer jackets you could buy.

But the main thing is, if you like it & it's comfy & warm, and a good price, then go for it!
