In my opinion 59 is too young which I accept puts me in a minority, but you fid ask.

Yes!

MinnieCauldwell · 15/11/2024 14:31

I am amazed that young women in their 20s can afford this stuff. Just checked out Amy from MAFS, think its very sad that women do that tonthemselves, she looks much older than her age.

29 is too young. A friend in her 50's has been using "baby botox" for years and has convinced herself that it is unnoticeable. I haven't the heart to tell her that her forehead has that telltale shiny, plastic look.

Good skincare, and daily SPF50 sunblock is the better alternative.

I'm afraid I agree. It's oft said by users of procedures here on MN that friends and family don't notice. I believe that's because they're polite.

I think by that age you might need it.....

😂

Tbh, I think I've been showing signs of aging since I was born. Like every living human...

😄

You will age much more quickly with it than without.

Yes why is that? You see it all the time, the ones who dick around with their face look terrible and age badly...

UmbrellaEllaEllaElla · 15/11/2024 15:34

In my opinion yes.

TooMuchRedMaybe · 15/11/2024 09:19

I really don’t think women would be injecting their faces with botox if it wasn’t for mens obvious preference for much younger women.

But you don't look younger, just your age with a weird forehead. We use our foreheads when we talk and if they don't make the appropriate movement it looks weird.

There are plenty of other places where aging carries on and again not matching looks odd.. if you want to hide your lines grow a fringe.

No opinion yourself op?
This is like an essay question from school 🙄

KendraTheVampyrSlayer · 15/11/2024 23:14

Any age is too young. But 29 is ridiculous!

MrsWinslowsSoothingSyrup · 15/11/2024 23:23

If you don't like the way you look at 29, you're in for a hell of a disappointing life.

You are probably the best you'll ever look at 29.

StarDolphins · 15/11/2024 23:24

Of course it’s too young!

Purplecatshopaholic · 15/11/2024 23:31

It’s up to you of course, but I would say 29 is too young, yes. I swear by the stuff but I’m 20 years older!

BeensOnToost · 15/11/2024 23:33

Depends what you look like. Some women are flawless at 40 others look like they have....partied hard!

namestevalian · 15/11/2024 23:33

No

As long as it's done by a competent , insured medical professional .

DieStrassensindimmernass · 15/11/2024 06:15

I don't think Botox or fillers are a good idea at all, they're mostly unnecessary and give that 'suspended animation' look, but if you really have to do it then wait until you're at least 15 or 20 years older.

Edited

Badly done it looks that way.

15-20 years is way way too late and you'd probably need a facelift rather than injectables to make a significant change on your appearance

PinkArt · 15/11/2024 23:50

Of course it is. 29 year old skin is the kind of skin lots of older women are seeking to emulate with injectables. And that tends to be what 20 somethings look like when they use them, not 20 somethings but 40 somethings trying to look 20 something. It's very aging on young faces.

VimesandhisCardboardBoots · 16/11/2024 00:12

Any age is too early for Botox and fillers. It always looks fucking ridiculous.

Duc · 16/11/2024 01:30

Bewareofthisonetoo · 15/11/2024 07:08

If you want to look 40 than 20-something.
It is so ageing -the chavvy ‘MILF’ look.

I can literally visualise the face that they all have finished off with shelf duck lips

GoldenSunflowers · 16/11/2024 08:37

Don’t do it. Imagine not using your eyebrows to express surprise, concern, mischievousness.

unconditionalpurelove · 16/11/2024 08:42

OMG you don't need it. Just stop. Look at pictures of women from years gone by. They were beautiful, just as they are! And that is what I'm telling my young daughter.

Ginmonkeyagain · 16/11/2024 08:46

I was pondering this today. Why women feel the need not to age. I am 46, I look 46, what is so shameful or wrong with that?

If this stuff about looking youmger or cosmetic enhancement. I am not sure.

Of course I am a bit of a hypocrite - I want to look my best - I look after my skin, exercise, get a decent hair cut, wear make up etc.. but to me skin cream and good hair cuts are very different from injecting stuff in your face or paralysing facial muscles. I want to look like a decently presented woman in my mid 40s, because that is what am. I am not sure any amount of botox or filler would suddently make people think I am younger.

Radiatorvalves · 16/11/2024 08:50

Lentilweaver · 15/11/2024 10:13

I have no lines sans Botox and I am 53. Just for balance.

Me too!

mitogoshigg · 16/11/2024 08:51

Far better to have a decent moisturiser and accept yourself for who you are. Drink plenty of water, not too much alcohol, don't smoke, plenty of fruit and vegetables. I'm over 50, never had an invasive treatment ever yet I look younger because I simply eat and drink correctly plus Aldi moisturiser
