I'm after what is looking more and more impossible

I want a dress that fulfils the following criteria for my graduation ceremony in two weeks

1. Maxi
2. Long sleeve
3. NO CUT OUTS/ low v's
4. Smart
5. Size 14
6. Delivery before 10th Nov so if I don't like it I have time to order something else

A brand much hated by S&B but I've literally just bought this in a 14 and it's lovely. Definitely more maxi than midi so ignore the description.

If you are wearing the gown most of the day then I don't think you want a maxi dress though..... it should be about the same length as your gown..also a higher neck will look better under the gown makes it easier to secure it all. I'd look at Next, there are so many dresses and delivery is quick. I'm not quite sure why posters feel the need to comment on other people's suggestions (other than the OP). OP will know the dress code for her own graduation, there's no need to sneer 'for a GRADUATION?!'. If the suggestion isn't suitable, OP won't choose it. Different unis have different dress codes, it's not always as strict as it used to be.

I bought a long midi structured black dress in a thick material beautifully cut from John Lewis for a funeral last year. Between midi and maxi really. If you can bear long midi rather than maxi, have a look at John Lewis own range. My dress looked nothing on hanger but hung beautifully when on.

If you’re doing a search you’d do better to search using ‘funeral’ in title as that’s the kind of formal you’re looking for I’d think. Each to their own, but I’ve no truck with cocktail or nightclub wear to graduations.

I have some of the Silk Fred Dove dresses. Really pleased with them. They come in lots of different colours and patterns and look good on. I don't like how they style them on their web site, but they look really smart if you actually do some of the buttons up !
