Good thread, I am not really wearing an outfit today, just a random selection of clothing

leggings: sweaty betty about £60 in the sale
sports bra: ancient was probably about £20
running top: got from a race
big snuggly jumper: top shop £8 on Vinted
Slippers: primark: £15 I think

when I went out:
coat: M&S from Vinted £60, was £199 apparently
trainers: Adidas Spezials £60 new from Vinted
bag: Topshop new from Vinted £5

ancient knickers and socks from multipacks

my coat and leggings push the cost up a bit, I usually only spend proper money on trainers

JaceLancs · 02/11/2024 17:14

Reiss dress from charity shop £7
paul smith boots in sale from an outlet £70
maison lener coat from tkmaxx £160
vivienne Westwood scarf in a sale from flannels £40

Oh if we're adding jewellery etc then:

Fitbit - can't remember
Pearl earrings - £300
Silver earrings - £30ish
Uniqlo cross body bag - £15

Butterworths · 02/11/2024 17:19

Pants £8 from Snag
Tights also £8 from Snag
bra was a bargain in sale I think £10
Dress I made myself but the fabric was about £40 from liberty
Cardigan about £30 from fat face
DMs bought in sale for £100

Interesting exercise that loads more than I'd have guessed without adding it up.

When I was actually exercising this morning had Hoka trainers on and I think they were over £100 so that would have bumped things up too

ShinyAppleDreamingOfTheSea · 02/11/2024 17:21

Leggings - Next - approx £25
Long sleeve T shirt - M&S £16
Fleece - Trespass via Next approx £35
Trainers - Sketchers via Next approx £60
Bra - Sloggi, pants and socks from Next multipacks.

Sgtmajormummy · 02/11/2024 17:25

It’s a stay at home day so
€8 Stripy acrylic jumper (3/4 sleeves so I can cook and clean)
€6 drawstring viscose trousers bought in end of season sale like most of my stuff.
underwear negligible, jewellery off because I’m cleaning, watch a gift, bare feet.

So about £12. Do I win?

imastrangerheremyself · 02/11/2024 13:44

It's a bit shocking how things can mount up!

Just what I was thinking.

Crushed23 · 02/11/2024 17:32

I live in good quality activewear. It's pricey but incredibly durable. I wear each piece to death before I throw it out.

£500 total for today's outfit:

Lululemon ribbed leggings - £110
COS stripy t-shirt - £25
NorthFace fleece-lined waterproof jacket - £205
ON running 'Cloudmonster 2' trainers - £160

No handbag because the jacket has pockets galore 🤗

Turefu · 02/11/2024 17:37

Outdoors long sleeved top £40

Gosh, it really does add up.

Britpopbaby · 02/11/2024 17:47

I am enjoying reading the replies to this thread and the commitment to thoroughness in terms of underwear etc! It’s nice to see the mixture of brands, places that you’ve all bought your items from and how long some people have had them for.

This makes me feel bad because my outfit is expensive. But most of that comes from my boots. They are Russell & Bromley and cost me around £200 - but that was 4 years ago and they still look as good as new and I haven't bought black boots since, I used to use StyleBook and seeing the price per wear gives a different perspective sometimes.

I bought a brown pair in 2013. They were £295 (the receipt is still in the box) and someone complimented me on them last week.

You do know to take them back to the store to have them heeled and soled, don't you? They come back cleaned and polished.

CharSiu · 02/11/2024 18:42

£30

Leggings, a t.shirt and a free promotional sweatshirt for a video game. My friend was a manager at GAME and I have a few t.shirts and things that were given to me over the years.

transformandriseup · 02/11/2024 18:43

£30 at the most I think. I have on a Seasalt top with a Jack Wills Jumper but they were from the charity shop. The jeans were probably Peacocks

Lougle · 02/11/2024 18:45

Are we including underwear?

If including underwear, charity shop jeans, Primark t-shirt, then £50.

If not including underwear, £14.
