Trousers - they are extremely thick oodie material trousers that DH bought me whilst he was on a trip away. I can’t tell you how warm they are and feel warmer overall in these than when I wear my Oodie! So £0 cost to me I suppose.
Jacket - a Vans fleecy check board jacket, was a Christmas present from DH last year so again £0 to me.
Tshirt - a red hot chilli peppers tour tshirt from 12/13 years ago was around £25 if I recall.
Knickers - part of an M&S pack so around £2?
Socks - kappa socks from primark which I love! I buy multiple packs when I see them. Again £2
Bra - M&S £16

So around £45.

Going to see my mother this morning, it’s been a few weeks!
Taupe long sleeve top - h&m via a charity shop - £2
Cream roll-neck jumper, ‘slouchy’ fit but less so on my 25 week bump! - Asda - £15 I think
Olive green long wool blend coat - Boohoo via Vinted - £5ish, so cheap but looks divine on… even tho I say so myself!
Light blue slim leg jeans - H&M Mama range via Vinted - £7.50
Brown chunky dealer boots - Blundstone - bought in NZ several years ago, I think they were about $300? so £140 odd
Super big, soft, cosy scarf in a chunky check sort of pattern - gift from my sister

Thanks! It's the only way to keep warm in this weather. I spend all winter in several layers of wool. Where do you get your merino base layers from?

I love Dilling and have a couple of things from Icebreaker, including my favourite WFH merino joggers. Plus several merino long skinny fit tops from Arket and H&M that are not officially base layers but effectively the same… and just scored a Sweaty Betty ski base layer set on Vinted, also merino. I always WFH and in winter I wear the base layers under big cashmere jumpers (Cos/Arket usually off eBay or Vinted) and jeans or wool trousers.

Also have a big long length cardigan coat from Ecowool that’s the ultimate toasty top layer.

I love wool, and natural fabrics generally and I’m trying to only buy 100% natural textiles and second hand where possible. I’m so sorry for people who can’t wear wool for itching reasons - I’d be stumped!

baddayformeredith · 30/11/2024 09:01

Not dressed yet but yesterday I wore;
Cashmere jumper £90
Jeans £80
Bra £90
T-shirt free from a friend
Knickers £4
Socks gift
Trainers £80
Puffy coat £100

Sounds like we wear very similar clothes. Do you have Icebreaker crush pants? The black ones are of my staple items, although my Dilling ones are a bit warmer.

I WFH mostly, go to the office once or twice a month but can pretty much wear what I want there too.

Agree about buying natural textiles, in summer I wear wool t-shirts too, but also like linen.

Georgelassosthemoon · 30/11/2024 15:30

I’m trying to wear some of the clothes I bought for work pre pandemic. It was always fairly casual but since the pandemic have been mostly WFH. So blue patterned jersey dress from White Stuff, £70 ish in 2019, navy opaques - Snag, £7, Navy suede cowboy boots Clark’s £80 (they must be 10 years old but still look good).
Brown leather cross body bag, Fatface £70.
Grey Borg coat, New Look £50
Blue Cashmere snood John Lewis £65.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 30/11/2024 18:02

Black leather jacket - Whistles last year and £££ but cost per wear now negative
Leopard print sling bag - Pieces, about £25
usual Monica Vinader gold initial necklaces, plus a gold t-bar one. Small engraved gold hoop earrings from Oliver Bonas (none of these items are gold-gold). Black bra and knickers from Thought/Chantelle, and cream socks from OB with a cat on the side who looks a lot like our cat 🐈

purdypuma · 30/11/2024 18:21

Think about £110.00

Peacocks Jean's - £5.00 from charity shop a year ago, one of the comfiest cheapest pairs i own.
H&M white fisherman's style jumper - £20.00 must have had it at least 5 years.
Nike AF1 white trainers - £80.00 Asos sale last year. V.comfy but a sod to keep clean as they're an off white brushed leather (didn't realise at time of buying!)
Black Fiorelli bag - £5.00 charity shop a couple of months back. Practical, lots of pockets.

Isitfridayyetsophie · 30/11/2024 19:04

@LittleRedRidingHoody @Garlicpest thank you! As for remote control toys, he’s getting a remote control helicopter from Santa, he is 3, so he is definitely too young, it’s for me really!!!!! So yes, buy a drone, I am happy to enable that!

I have had 3 kid’s birthday parties today 🫠 I am frazzled and small talked out. Getting ready to relax and watch the new Lindsay lohan Christmas film!

Agolde jeans- £270ish
H&M strap top- £5
Sezane chunky cardigan (worn all done up as a jumper) £150ish
Isabel Marant boots- £500ish
M&S wool coat- £69
Celine bag- £2,800ish

And now I’m home I’ve changed into my H&M tracksuit bottoms.

Also- who has the eras tour hoodie??? V envious.
I never got off the waitlist!

Isitfridayyetsophie · 30/11/2024 19:07

Someone up thread mentioned they had Loaf socks- I wanted to get some for my mum for Christmas but wondered if you actually need to hand wash them? Can they go on a hand wash setting in the washing machine? Sorry, I’ve scrolled back and can’t find who to tag, so if anyone recognises their socks I’d appreciate knowing how they wash! 💖

Kdubs1981 · 30/11/2024 19:12

Next fleece £35
H&M vest £12
Sweaty betty leggings £55 in sale
Doc marten boots £80 second hand (unworn)

£182

LittleRedRidingHoody · 30/11/2024 19:19

@Isitfridayyetsophie oh DS loved remote controlled anything at that age! I could have fun flying and driving and he'd just chase it around. Am sure your little one will love it.

I'm the same as you tonight I think. We had swimming, impromptu soft play and then 2 back to back parties so DS flaked in the car on the way home and managed to get him to bed very early 😂 In PJs (White Company - £60) and fluffy socks (same as earlier) with snacks and comfort TV. Oooh let me know what the Lindsay Lohan is like! It keeps popping up on my recommendations.

It was me with the Eras Tour top! I got off the waitlist a few days before - got all my merch from Vinted because I couldn't be asked to queue though 🫠

Isitfridayyetsophie · 30/11/2024 19:27

@LittleRedRidingHoody ah sorry, I feel like I read posts without checking usernames, then it’s on different page etc. so missed who to @ ! What is it with time of year and kid’s parties? Too many! So envious you saw TS! I’ve seen her on 3 other tours so I shouldn’t complain I missed this one, I’d just have loved to see ttpd live! And ha, if he doesn’t like the helicopter, it’s fine cos I will 😁 I’ll report back on the LL film, quite enjoying it so far, it has Ezra from PLL in if you ever saw that!

LittleRedRidingHoody · 30/11/2024 19:48

@Isitfridayyetsophie well, I saw the Reputation tour and wasn't blown away, but Eras was just something else!

Oh... he was absolutely my teen crush. Will watch ASAP 👀

Isitfridayyetsophie · 01/12/2024 09:19

@LittleRedRidingHoody you have good taste! The film was silly but I laughed several times and would rewatch it! I also enjoyed the Nina Dobrev one. And 😮 I loved the reputation tour! We saw Robbie Williams, but I bet eras was amazing!

Happy December everyone! Am writing this from a café in a wet and muddy park while my son and husband run around/scoot. It’s Christmas decoration day for us, with a cheat roast from M&S and my husband brought back a tin of perello olives yday, which means only one thing! Martinis! Not very festive but fun.

Zara jeans- £40
Sporty & Rich jumper- £120
H&M Borg (the new word for fleece?) jacket- £18
ganni hat (hiding messy hair!)- £80
new balance trainers- £80
loewe puzzle bag- £2,500ish!

Yes crush pants in gritstone heather. Got in a sale. Love them but icebreaker tops are a bit short on me (so that saves money!)
