Really comfortable supportive bras for the large of nork

Hi, I want something with wide bands, very structured, comes in big cup sizes and will hold them up - but very comfortable.
not the big sports top mono boob things.
im looking for a really comfortable band. I have to wear a tight band because I have big norks and they all seem to be chafey nylon. Is there anything smooth and soft?

no objections to wires
usually wear fantasie but they’re really hurting right now

thanks

You will think I'm wrong but the answer is Molke Original.

You won't know you're wearing it, and mine are 34K and held up. Separately.

TheLeadbetterLife · 23/10/2024 12:23

Miss Mary of Sweden. Very comfortable, and they have several styles with mainly cotton fabric.

Interested in this too! My big boobs are starting to sag and need more and more support. If the bras were pretty that would be a big bonus…

AnnaMagnani · 23/10/2024 12:26

Have you tried Elomie? Most comfortable bras I've worn.

achipandachair · 23/10/2024 12:35

Nope @LikeWhoUsesTypewritersAnyway i assure you that no one who sees my breasts does that

I was going to suggest my favourite- Fastasie smoothing balcony, but I see you don't like Fantasie.
As another poster has said, Miss Mary of Sweden are nice and soft and very comfortable.
I go to Bravissimo now and again- they fit a bra really well and know all about being norks plus pluss. Is there one near you?

REP22 · 23/10/2024 12:43

I am blessed/cursed with large 'shirt potatoes'. The name is not suggestive of modernity, but I have always found the Triumph "Doreen" bra excellent, they're the only ones I now wear. You can usually get them in larger sizes from Amazon or John Lewis. I've tried other types but Doreen always wins for me. x

Blarn · 23/10/2024 12:47

I have the Bravissimo Niya and it is very soft. Slightly padded and underwired but really comfortable.

KnittedCardi · 23/10/2024 12:49

Millie by Bravissimo. Supportive, but the lace is slightly stretchy, so comfortable. I am a 32HH and find them very comfortable.

I don't like the unstructured soft bras, as I think they are unflattering, so I stick with structured underwired. Miss Mary and others don't do the small band, big bust combos.

Blarn · 23/10/2024 12:49

Some of the Panache tshirt bras are really comfortable in the band too but they only go to an H cup.

ManxDi · 23/10/2024 12:51

34G here (I always buy a smaller band by one), these are tremendous. If you buy online you don't have to pay the VAT and if you buy via a cash back site, they are cheaper again...

Elomi. I've been told by the lady who owns our local independent lingerie retailer that they are made by the same company as Fantasie.

And very expensive

Prima Donna, in their Deauville or Madison style. The only, and I mean only, brand to wrangle my 34Gs. I know because I've tried most other brands, in vain attempts to wriggle out of paying the insanely high price of Prima Donna. Sadly, going from PD to any other brand is like going from a brick house to a tent, in terms of robustness of construction. Moreover, PD bras make your boobs look attractively human, rather than terrifying mounds of styrofoam.

AFAIK Rigby & Peller is the only retailer licensed to sell PD in the UK, and you need to be fitted in one of their shops to get the right size. Guesswork won't cut it as each style has its own quirks, and Rigby & Peller fitters know them all. There's no obligation to buy, but I generally bite the bullet when I go for a resize, then buy further bras slightly cheaper online at places like Belle Lingerie. They do last for years though, so they are value for money.

You see I found the Millie gave me no support and my boobs weren't held up at all. It may be okay for H cup, above that I dont think it gives enough support. I tried literally every bra in my size last time I went in and came out with good old panache Envy.

user1497787065 · 24/10/2024 05:45

I would agree Elomi fitted by an independent lingerie expert.

boatyardblues · 24/10/2024 05:50

I bought an Elomi Himari recently and it is the most comfortable bra I’ve had in a long time. The band is really deep at the side of the cups into the underarm and it sits nicely.

andIsaid · 24/10/2024 06:19

I am so sick of bras.

I have to wear them but I have dents in the muscle that runs from my collar bone to my neck. 30 years of wearing elastic bands with weights (my breasts) I suppose.

Why are there not more options?

For a cheaper option I use these

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 24/10/2024 06:21

Miss Mary of Sweden are really very good / but follow their measuring guide. La Redoute stock several of their styles, and often have sitewide discounts.

36gg panache envy all the way here

Have you had a proper fitting? Because as far as I'm aware, the band should be doing most of the work in lifting and supporting, not the straps.

After a proper fitting at Rigby and Peller I went down a size in t shirts, lost a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck, and even had some feeling return to one of my arms which had nerve damage after an accident/operation.

I get this! Miss Mary bras have wider straps to distribute the load better, and I don't get this with them. (anything from 3GG to 42DD depending on who is measuring and what system they are using!).

midgetastic · 24/10/2024 06:31

Second vote for Molke

You need to get your head around getting it on at first ( I'm a pull up from my feet) but comfort, looks good ( sliming ) under clothes , never falls off my shoulders and feels like a firm vest not an article of torture

, and personally anything that gets us away from "pretty lace" and give more fun to the undies can only be a good thing
