I have bottle green suede heels and I'm not sure if I should go for nude tights or very black sheer tights. It's for a winter wedding and I haven't worn sheer black tights since the 90s but I quite like the idea? Would you go nude or black

I like sheer black. The ones I have were sold as charcoal and sheer enough to be dressy. I think opaque read more casual.

No idea! I've only seen this idea on Mumsnet (and rarely, at that). This is also the only place I've seen wedding guests fretting over whether a navy dress with a white print is "too much white". Hope they kept their eyes closed and made sure not to smile, any flashes of white might have distressed the bride!

I'm not a fan of fishnets but I'd be tempted to try nude ones with this dress and shoes. Otherwise, you cannot go wrong with Wolford nude tights.

Are the shoes closed toe? I’d defo go for a glossy 40 denier black tight, but I haven’t worn nude tights in years - I’d understood them to be pretty naff these days. I’m very pasty legged, but wear thick tights in winter bare legs with some leg make-up on in summer, including work.

For clarity, I wasn't saying there are rules about tights and weddings. Just that lots of people don't wear tights to winter weddings so OP would not stick out should that be her preference, and that I would personally choose bare legs.

Love the shoes, great colour. As for the debate on £50 thights, I thought I was pushing the boat out when I bought three pairs from Snag at about £8 a pair. Heard good things about Snag and tights are so hit and miss for me as I am long bodied, small waisted, with short chunky legs. Finding tights that fit and do not act up is such a palaver. Not worn the Snag tights yet but hoping they are going to live up to the hype
